NEWSFLASH: Child abuse makes the front page. There is no excuse to abuse an 11 year old girl in that way.

With your logic, one could say that when a guy gets jumped by a neighbor & stabbed, that it shouldn't make the news and should be "between the abuser and his victim". No. In this society, the media oftentimes reports on people getting abused, whether it's rape, physical, or emotional abuse.

32. Did anyone else notice that in every single picture of these two, the girl is a sullen, sulky, spoiled brat and Basingbitch is coddling her, or leading her by the arm. Leave it to Kim to conduct her p.r. campaign at the mall in front of the cameras. That little girl does not look very nice at all and I think father knows best. Maybe Angela should adopt her.

BTW, Kim did NOT release the tape. Apparently, the leak didn't happen until a a few weeks *after* she gave up the tapes to the court system.

Besides, abusers of minors count on the fact that their victims remain silent. So whoever did realease the tape, they did the little girl a favor.

Hello? That photo was taken this past weekend. The girl probably IS miserable knowing that her dad has called her those names and THREATENED her.

36. #18 - Alec went off on her for consistently not being there for scheduled calls and threatened ot have a talk with her about it - did't threaten with violence. Let's not get it twisted. And if you were ANY kind of parent who actually loved YOUR children then you wouldn't want ANOTHER CHILD to lose their father just because he has a hot temper. It calls for counseling - not DAMAGING THE CHILD FOREVER by taking the father away. A child needs BOTH parents - not just one. Time and time again it's proven how damaging it is for the child to be with out one of the parents.

Your comments are obviously driven by the fact that you mindlessly let the media tell you what to think and have no orignal thoughts or ideas of your own. Either that - or you are just not a very good parent.

38. If Alec made it a habit of speaking to his daughter in this manner I'm confident that Kim would've leaked those too. But the fact of the matter there is nothing to leak. He made a mistake - but he needs family counseling. Ireland doesn't need to be emotionally damaged for the rest of her life by having her father removed from her life just because the media and others have an agenda.

With regard to your "ANOTHER CHILD" etc, this obviously is an extremely sensitive matter for you. Were you abused by your parents too? Very often children who are abused grow up to abuse their own children. They believe that abuse a normal part of being a parent. I'm very sorry for you.

41. Ireland is not a child....yesterday's 15 year olds...are today's 11 year olds!! She knows exactly what she's doing and why. She's been empowered by this and all the rest of the similar occurrences in her past... knowing how she is upsetting and hurting her father....she has her hand on the button. KIds of this age...can be as manipulative...if not moreso... than the adults....this is her way of paying back her father for being the "bad guy" that mama Kim has made him out to be. Her mother is priming her to become the "little pig"...that is obvious from what has been going on for years now. So nice for her dear mother to pass these traits down generation to generation. If this girl were being raised as a decent...compassionate person...she would tell her mother she wants to answer those phone calls from her dad...or be there for the proposed visits. By not doing so....it's not hard to see where Alec was coming from...when he lashed out this past week after years of all this crap. Was his message inappropriate? Yes...it was...but when he said he was going to straighten her out...he was not about to beat the hell out of her...but..instead.. let her know how nasty and insensitive her actions are! Don't kid yourself...this child probably didn't flinch from this message...she knows her father wouldn't harm her...and she knows that she did something wrong to have this happen. What this judge needs to do....is stop blaming Alec alone for the anger and the mess of this dovorce and this child's life. It's time to take Kim to task for her typical....hate your daddy because I do....behavior. The judge should set up this "phone call...time/visits with her father."..et al...and if she fails to accomodate...she should be the one who should be punished for it. iI would be she ...that has made this child into what she is today....a clone of nasty mama...vicious and hateful...and EXHIBIT A for today's pathetic divorce nightmare. Wake up..folks...this scenario is being played out all over the place...including the nasty messages to kids when they connive and play these games right along with the initiating parent ...no one wants to admit it....but the children of today...with all these divorces ...are going to be tainted and the futures of many will be greatly affected by the horrific actions that ensue during their young lives. Even in cases of amicable divorces...don't fool yourselves into thinking the children of those come out with no hurt...no scars. As a whole...society has failed...divorce is so commonplace..it's as "everyday" as eating breakfast. The only ones coming out of this smiling are the divorce attorneys .....who seem to incite more problems than would normally exist...and that...dear posters...you can take to the bank.

42. By no way am I saying what Alec said was justified but I completely understand where it came from. If he didn't care about seeing Ireland or getting a hold of her he would not have blown up like that . Obviously his frustration has peaked - I think what he was saying was what he wanted to say to her mother. It is sad, I am sure he feels horrific. More importantly whoever released those tapes is absolutely disgusting.

At the end of the day, Ireland knows her father and if that is his normal behaviour or not. She needs to decide that. But shame, shame, shame on whoever put that out there.

43. You can't judge an entire history on one press leak! Anyone who has heard anything about this case knows that Kim is a mentally unbalanced mega-bitch. She's using every legal avenue to keep this child away from her father, she's too insecure to let Ireland have a healthy relationship that doesn't include her mom. If she spent half her money, time and energy in therapy like she needs, instead of on lawyers, this would have been resolved peacefully long ago!
