Alec, Kim and Ireland Out Over Weekend

76. TMZ is falling behind - local ABC news is reporting that Kim hired a bodyguard for their daughter.

She is just playing this whole thing up to make him look worse.... and makes herself look even worse while she's at it.

The sad thing is that it ALL just screws the daughter up even more. These 2 parents need to both get over THEMSELVES and GROW UP.

79. Kim released the tape as a last resort. Sometimes the law can only do so much to protect people ( particulary women & children) from being harmed by angry men. One recent example was the U of WA student that was killed by her ex-boyfriend. She took all the necessary procautions to protect herself (restraining order, worked from home because she was afraid to leave the house, let friends & family know) and he went after her and killed her. Kim released this to protect her daughter because she knows what Alec is capable of doing more so than you and I.

80. I think i agree w/a previous post about how Kim uses their daughter against them. I don't pretend to know anything about these individuals other than what is reported and can certainly be false. But, assuming some is true then I think that this situation is no different than so many I have seen in my own life, a couple splits and their anger at one another continues and impairs their abilities to parent their child/ren. I have seen 2 pics so far of Kim w/her arm around Ireland, as if to be saying, "i'm protecting her", I think it's all a bit of a show. I would be willing to bet Kim put her daughter up to not answering Alec's calls and he's fed up. I do not agree w/the language he used and Hey, I could be wrong, he might be an ass, but I just call it like i see it....not only does he need counseling, but family counseling for the 3 of them, they need to set aside their anger and come together for the good of their daughter, OR go on Dr. Phil, what a great show that would be!!!!!!

81. Kim needs to grow up and get on with her life. Yup, we all know you are miserable and having gotten any in awhile. Quit try to get vendicated... you're only making an @$$ out of yourself in the process. It's not Alec that looks bad, it's you who chose to release that tape recording. When you chose to do so, you're now considered a lowlife scum just like most other vengeful parents in this world. Any sane, good parent would throw the tape away, talk to the other parent and never ever allow a child to hear bad about the other parent. It seems parents need mandated parenting classes these days so their kids can at least have a morsel of hope of growing up normal.

82. Harvey Levin was on Catherine Crier and said something to the effect that word had it Ireland wasn't too upset about this tape getting out and Catherine picked right up on it and said something like his remarks confirmed her suspicions that IRELAND HERSELF RELEASED THIS TAPE.

I heard that Alec had been with a date when he had to leave to place this phone call. Perhaps Ireland knew her father had a date or Kim Basinger knew of this date and one or both of them are JEALOUS and refused this call, knowing it would make Alec mad and therefore, in all likelihood ruin the rest of the date!!!

83. You ever notice how stiff Ireland looks. Her mother seems to be talking to her and she is looking straight ahead. She seems to be ignoring her mother. Maybe she is tuning out all her mother is saying. Is she controlled or not controlled by Kim Basinger? She looks uncomfortable, rigid, stiff and not having a good time with Mommie Dearest! This is the second photo that we have seen that Ireland looks real stiff and controlled!!

88. All abuse should be exposed. That will stop the abusers in their tracks. It was the right thing to do. I bet you he will think twice now before blasting his innocent daughter!
Kim is only protecting Ireland. If I were the mother, this would be mild if the father spoke to my child that way. Zero tolerance for abuse, especially child abuse.
What a loser Alec is one so many levels. He has everything, yet only a person with really low self-esteem would treat someone this way, let alone their 11 year old child.
Alec must have been treated this way as a child. Cycle of abuse. This just goes to prove that the way we are treated in our childhood has everything with how we feel about ourselves, no matter the adulthood achievements. Stop the abuse!

89. I think Kim is such a drama queen, i mean we all as parents have said some things to our kids when we as parents feel they do not appreciate us. As for the body guard, let's be real if she was so afraid of Alec, why even let the tapes get out she's just trying to play victim here omg this is so over rated.
