Celebrity Justice
Judge Shows No Five-Day Mercy for Joe Francis

A Florida judge whom Joe Francis called "out of his mind" and "a judge gone wild" may have bought the "Girls Gone Wild" pimpresario an extra year in federal jail by refusing to cut his 35-day sentence by just five days.

Yesterday, Francis' lawyer begged District Court Judge Richard Smoak to cut his 35-day sentence on federal contempt of court charges to 30. As the lawyer explained, having jail time of over 30 days on his record would change the sentencing guidelines in his federal case should he be convicted on tax evasion charges -- and could tack on up to a year of extra time in a federal penitentiary as a result. Judge Smoak disagreed, and left the sentence at 35 days.

Of course, one year, in the grand scheme of things, might not really matter for Francis, who, TMZ has learned, faces up to 100 years in Florida prison if convicted on all the felony charges he faces in that state. Those charges include use of a underage child in sexual performance and bringing contraband cash and drugs into his most recent home -- a county jail cell. Marshals were directed today by another judge to take custody of Francis the moment he's released from his current sentence on May 15 at 8:15 am.

Looks like Francis could get very used to that cell, even if it's driving him insane.

77. I haven't read the previous comments on here so don't know if this has already been stated, but......the previous TMZ headline that reads: "Francis Breaking Down Under Cop's Killer Taunts" should actually read "Francis Breaking Down Under Killer Cop's Taunts". I say this because I can guarantee that Francis will either be killed or kill himself before the year is even up. This is a person who will never last in prison. I'm not defending him in any way. Just pointing out what should be obvious to all. Try to read between the lines. Karma, as always will have the last laugh. It doesn't discriminate. - The Duke

79. To#80 I dont need to climb anywhere. I live in Denmark and you can be sure that I never would come to a country like yours with your double standards. As all other Danes I can be content with your money, which you invest so plenty off in Denmark.

We invent products and establish firms because we enjoy partying and a relaxed attitude towards authorities. Our youth can buy all the alcohol on their own as they like when they turn 16, so they mature early and takes responsibility which result in less deaths by gunshooting, DUI etc. that is the case in your country.

We respect our children opposite a country like yours which is one of the two last countries in the world, which have not signed the UN conventions of the right of a child. If they want to plod around the beach aged 17 as God has created them, it must be their worry. Beside the knowledge of a world outside their own country, they have also learned that there is something that it called a camera. That is another great thing with my country: A school system which actually works.

Because we are relaxed about what people would do for a living, this kind of business Mr. Francis runned would not lift an eyebrow. Of course it would be difficult for him to run the business here because it would not cause sensation. In the summer the nearest beach would show a lot more meat than he properly could produce in a lifetime. (Havn't seen his films)

In short terms if he had the right connections he would not have been charged in Denmark. We are used to that money can buy anonymity in our justice system (The newspapers can be punish if they even mention the offenders name) but it is a part of the motivation we can give our children, so they would perform in a society with a real welfare system that does not force people to work for a living. You can it what you like, but it does work.

We have an old saying: "Money does not smell." It certainly does not for all those firms which continues to establish both jobs and companies in my country.

80. Joe thought Panama City was a gold mine a few years ago. Now he's gonna wish he had never heard of it.

Yah you bet! You're so right. He should have known better than to do business in a place that's officially known as the Redneck Riviera... at least they got one part of that phrase right, redneck fits... it's hardly the riviera

As a side note, one of my friends was at a party where JF was in attendance and she told me they were calling him Joe Blow...only for obviously a different reason... now he can be Joe Blow for all the jail reasons...

82. Oh WHATEVER!!!!,
This guy is a total scumbag I agree ... However .... He didn't amass 40 Million dollars
out of thin air. Somebody is buying his videos. All the people out there with girls gone wild videos hidden under they're mattress should be ashamed and have contributed to the behaivior. I'm sure everyone in this country knows what "Girls Gone Wild" is because the dang commercials are plastered all over television and night.
It's so easy to point and laugh at the bad guy.....but think about this ... he is locked up and we know exactly where he is. What about all the guys who purchased his material ?

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR DAUGHTER IS TONIGHT ????
Oh wait I guess we don't have to actually be parents in this
country , we can just wait for the next convicted felon to blame
our lack of imparted social morals on.
