Joe Francis Charged in Sex Case

TMZ has learned that "Girls Gone Wild" mogul Joe Francis has just been charged with one count of misdemeanor sexual battery. The charge was filed by the L.A. City Attorney.

L.A. City Attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljan tells TMZ that Francis was at a birthday party in Los Angeles this past January when he allegedly touched an 18-year-old girl on the breast, buttocks and inner thigh. The woman allegedly repeatedly asked Francis to stop.

Francis will be arraigned May 22. If convicted, he faces a maximum six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Francis has a world of legal woes. He's currently in a Florida jail serving 35 days for contempt of court. He faces other charges as well.

34. Thank goodness these "freaks" with disposable money are finally held accountable for their actions!!!! I am so tired of hearing how Paris, Lindsey, Britney, Brandon....all of "young" Hollywood, screws up their lives with absolutely no repercussions. Do they EVER do anything for the good of their fellow man? They are horrible, ugly & selfish role models for anyone. Young children LOOK AWAY!

37. What about Snoop doesn't he own "Girls Gone Wild?" or part of it? I think everyone who is involved in these perverse tapings of young girls should be prosecuted and this little asshole should be F&*(ed in the ass many times and then put it on the internet! I hate seeing those damn commercials that run on Comedy Central every 5 minutes makes me sick!

38. My guess is that it is going to get worse before it gets better for Joe. Based on the amount of press he is receiving - http://www.buzztracker.com/category/joe_francis - I will be surprised if others don't come out of the woodwork soon to accuse him of other crimes/offenses. It comes with building a several hundred million dollar empire of sleaze.

39. Too bad they don't allow video cams in the slammer...seeing Joey boy pulling a "train" would surely be something worth watching (and paying for). Maybe after he gets plugged by about 40 guys it will wipe that smug smarmy grin from his face. Know one thinks it's strange this girl comes out with this now??
And Idon't feel sorry for 17 year olds who use fake id's so they can take there clothes off on tv.
Maybe if this country was not so up tight and had topless beachs like every where else GGW would not even be around!
So remember boys before you judge next time you have sex with a girl you meet at a bar thinking she is 21....lots of 16 year olds have fake id's!!!!
