137. My Dad was an alcoholic, he talked to me all the time like Mr. Baldwin did to his daughter. I felt so sick when I heard the message. I cant believe people are blaming Ireland or her Mom. Don't they know that a message like that is only a symptom of his illness. Because he is a celebrity, he'll get away with it and his wife will be blamed and Ireland will be scared forever.....JUST LIKE ME. My Mom took my Dad to court and the male judge said I had to see my Dad......3 years ago he picked me up for a weekend, he was in a "mood" when he was yelling at me he wrapped the car around a tree.....he died right there in front of me....I was only 12. Keep Mr. Baldwin away from his daughter and keep Rosie O'Donnell out of it....she is as bad as Jesse Jackson involved in everybody elses business.

He is a great father who has been used and abused by both a gender bias against fathers court system as well as his ex-wife who is useing his child as a weapon for manic control and unearned income. He should become a spokesperson for fathers across America who have been forced to be absent from their own child by both deadbeat manipulative so called moms and a corrupt court system.

139. No wonder his marriage didn't work out with Bassinger. If he treated her like that while they were married. Baldwin has serious anger issues, always has. He is known for it. On and off the set. Everyone has bad days with their kids, but his reaction to his daughter was uncalled for. Who knows what else happened that day that made Ireland not want to take his call. We only know of this one incident. There could be many more! If my ex treated our kids that way and degraded them I wouldn't allow him to see his kids either.

140. Rosie has no tact nor class. She has been a cheap shot artist and even admitted to cursing at her kids. Then her children should be taken away from her as has Alec's. There is no reason to curse your children or call them names because if they are that bad, you have only yourself to blame. The problem with Rosie and Alec is that they are so self consumed that they probably neglected their children and then abuse them when they do something of which they don't approve. That's a liberal, shrug your responsibilities and be vicious when things don't go your way.

141. I feel sorry for Alec. What he did wasnt right, but we dont know what SHE (the ex wife) did to drive him to that point. But from personal experience with the same situation, I would be willing to bet there was something. I know what its like to have a manipulating ex wife that will do anything at any cost to the kids, just to alienate them from their father just to make themselves feel better.....how sad that they dont think of the harm they do to the kids.
But then selfish women like that dont think about anything but themselves.
I wish the courts could see through this....the mother is not always the best choice.
And I have the screwed up kids to prove it.

I am still wondering how much of a 'complete ass' Mr. Alec Baldwin has to make of himself to make a phone call to his daughter?
And why doesnt he know how old she is? '12 or 11'?

And lastly.. yes divorce is bad - but he was divorcing his WIFE - not his daughter. To fault Kim B. in any way is justifing bad bahavior.
Alec - be a man - get some therapy - and stop treating people in your life like trash.

146. Baldwin has a mental problem. I watched him on the weight program and look how he acted on that show. He has had alot of problems with his drinking and temper through his whole career. After what his brother had done, it seems to run in the family. Any father that would swear and call his child names needs alot of help by a mental Doctor. Every one keeps talking about kim, how she is at fault for all this and has sympothy for Alex. Who gives a rats %%% about what the problems of the adults are? The child is paying the price for the idiocy of the parents. She will never forget those words, and she seems to be scared this man. If he said such things that got out into the public, who knows what he has said or done to her in the past. No child should be spoken to like he spoke to his daughter. No child.

147. I did not see Rosie as taking up for Alex but looking at both sides of the story and I am sure there are two sides. What he said was terrible but some people can take just so much pushing and they explode. I think this little girl is taking a few pages out of her mother's book and that he is paying for it.
As for The View, I always thought it was just about as boring as any show on tv, that is until Rosie came on. Due to her views on animals she was not one of my favorite people but when it comes to things like politics she tells it like it is and simply states her mind. I have no doubt that I will never watch the show again after she leaves and I imagine I am not the only one that feels that way.

148. raising children today is difficult enough for the everyday person, can you imagine how crazy it is for parents and children that have no boundaries? first of all, why do 12 year olds need phones. when my children were 12 i knew who they were with and where they were at all times, because its your job to know. when they got their cell phones, and i paid the bill, they were told if they didnt answer my calls when i called they were in big trouble and the phone privileges got taken away. btw at least alec is trying to have contact with his daughter, there are a lot of deadbeat dads out there too! shes probably a brat!

149. Every parent silps up. Alec is not the first or the last to do this. I just hope that he understands what harm can come from this and handles his anger in better ways. He needs to relize that its not the daughter that he is angry with, It's his ex wife.
