Smart Alec? Baldwin Does "The View"

181. Has anyone ever raised an 11 or 12 year old Daughter!! While I also feel Mr. Baldwin needs some anger management, I don't think he should be raked over the coals for his tyrade, most of us have lost our head at some time or other with our kids, I think it's admirable that he has perservered and stuck by Ireland, he obviously loves her. Ms Bassinger is pretty shrewd, she stays quiet but deadly with her tactics, Again Mr Baldwin has my sympathy, I think he's suffered a lot over the custody case which explains his frustration and behavior. I hope for Irelands sake they resolve this issue, every child needs both their Mom and their Dad.

182. Alec Baldwin is the pig. That poor child!!! How dare he talk to a 12 year old that way, let alone his own flesh and blood. I have always hated Alec Baldwin as an actor and now I hate him as a father and a human being. Just because you're a sperm donor, doesn't make you a father.

183. I wish the court would take time out from regulating where and when we can smoke and impose some kind of law against mothers who hold kids hostage from there fathers. I'm a divorced father and I am amazed at how onesided the court system is, even with a court order the only part of that order the court is intrested in enforcing is the support portion while the Ex-wife continues to ignore my court ordered right to see my kids. Bassinger pushed his buttons untill he had enough and expolded and used it to make him look like a nut. Shame on her for messing with the kids, as a responsible adult she should make sure the kid calls the father.
The tape I realy want to hear is the MSG he left her after the media released the tape, I will bet what he called the kid is mild next to what he called her and I bet he is right!!!!!

184. To the person who said if Alec Baldwin were a Republican, Rosie would hang him out to dry-you have it all wrong. If Alec were a Republican, either he would be hailed for disciplining his child and or it would have blown over. Sean Hannity would certainly not be comparing Alec to the VA Tech shooter if he were a Repub, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. It's precisely because Alec is a Liberal Dem that he is being crucified on the altar of public hypocrisy. It's shameful and disgraceful the way people are judging him so harshly. It's just a sign of how vindictive and vicious and hypocritical our country's masses really are.

186. His message to his daughter makes it sound like she has scheduled talks with him and she's blowing him off or turning off her phone. If she is 11 or 12 she might be alittle turned off by what is probably the same questions from her dad like how was school ---what did you do/learn in dance class or whatever. It's hard for some kids to have conversations with an adult that would be set up---they talk when the mood hits them---otherwise she probably feels like she's answering a questionaire. Maybe they could play online games together that they could chat or talk thru speaker to each other.

187. I wish people would stop all the judging. For those of us who have children - can you honestly tell me there hasnt been at least one time when you lost it and said stuff you may have regretted??? OF COURSE - WE ALL DO IT!! I don't recall him hearing him curse at her. He was rightfully pissed off. I would be too. You don't know the stuff he puts up with during the course of this messy divorce and don't act all righteous sitting at your computers judging. Pleeeease. My friends and I were discussing this last night over dinner and some of us told really unbeliveable things that we did??? How does throwing a fork over a dinner table sound??? or pitching a TV guide at your kid Hmmmmmmm? We all figured this was pretty mild.

190. First, I think that who ever released this to the Media, shame on them. This is none of our business and if the tape wasn't released with the intentions to make Alec Baldwin look bad, you wouldn't be in here writing opinions. I agree, some things should have been left unsaid, but really is this our business? don't you get it, the media thrives on this, their ratings go up and hope you tune in for as much gossip as they can provide you. People in this world become obsessed with all the crap the media releases. I think opinions are important, but when we have no clue what goes on behind closed doors and it's a personal thing what business is it our ours? Stick to important topics like the Iraq war and how our own sons and daughter are losing their lives. Something that matters.

I would say the majority of people who post opinions in here have no connections to the celebrity life? How would you feel, if you got into a long battle with an ex, a friend, or family member and it became public and was broadcast all over TV? and now we get to write negative opinions about you without knowing the facts!

I'm sure those who have a negative comments about this situation, at some time in your life you got angry and said things you regretted. I think his Ex- had a hand in this and if so shame on her for using her daughter, she's no different than Alec losing his temper.

Personally, I don't think this is our business, we don't know all the facts and isn't that what counts the most "facts"? so since we don't live in his house or know him or his situation, why be so judgmental?
I don't know Alec Baldwin and I'm not defending him, I just don't think the whole thing is right to release such a personal thing between him and his family to the public.

This my personal opinion. I hope not to have offended anyone.
Just think before you judge.

192. I do believe Alec does loves his daughter very much and I do believe his ex-wife dosn't care if the child is in his life. What these ex wives don't realize is the child needs a mom and dad and no matter what goes on between the two of you the child should be in both there lives and show respect to both parents. I think Alec was frustrated and hurt. Lets face it he lost it. Now, until you walk in his shoes and his ex-wifes shoes you can never understand the frustration and hardship divorce is especially for the children. Adults should stop being so selfish and think of the kids. If children keep hearing negitive talk about one parent they are afraid of hurting the parent or betraying the parent who is doing the negitive talking by being loving to the other parent being talked about negitivly.

193. ALEC BALDWIN AND KIM BASINGER ARE DISGRACEFUL PARENTS. NO PARENT SHOULD ALLOW THEMSELVES TO HATE THEIR EX MORE THAN THEY LOVE THEIR CHILD.
THEY ARE BOTH RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MESS. I'M SURE AB HAS CONTROL/ANGER ISSUES , AND I'M SURE KB HAS SOME OF HER OWN. THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE LET IT GET THIS FAR. THEY HAVE PLACED THEIR OWN EGOS ABOVE THE WELFARE OF THEIR CHILD.
