121. What a shocker, a commie liberal like Rosie sympathizing with another communist like Alec Baldwin.

I remember sending to him some money to assist with his wanting to leave the US if GW was ever elected. Sorry he never took us up on that.

122. I stand behind Alec and the reasons are we have all called our kids things that we shouldn't have. Like, you little brat, little ass, little s@@t and so on. Basinger has to be the biggest bitch on this planet (other than Rosie). She seems to be the one that has caused most of the disruption in the rearing of this child. He is frustrated and that was why he lost his temper. It's not like we haven't done the same thing at times.

123. Everything Alec said up until the end could have been said in some form in my household if my kids were way out of line. And my kids have two loving parents who are raising good members of society. Alec knows he won't get anywhere if he leaves the message for his ex. So he is venting on his daughter's voicemail and working himself into a rage. If they had a preset time to talk, his daughter should have answered the phone. Since she didn't do what her father asked her to do, he needs to let her know that what she did was wrong. The only way he can make sure she knows is with his words and his tone. (I don't follow this, but my guess is he didn't get to see her on the 20th!) He is the father - he has the right to discipline (within reason). But maybe her mother prevented the daughter from answering the phone. And that pushes Alec's buttons. I've been through this with my friend. It is heartbreaking for the father to lose his child. My advice to Alec: get some therapy, cool your jets, be as positive with your daughter as possible and when she is 18 and can leave home, the mother's poison will wear off and your daughter will come back to you. It happened with my friend. My friend and his daughter, who was not the nicest person during those divorce years, now have a wonderful relationship.

124. Alec Baldwin is a terrible father....no mater what your children do, it doesn't give you the right to berate them and treat them like trash....He has the nerve to call her a pig? Has he not looked in the mirror lately? He is exactly what is wrong with this up coming generation....they use their kids in any way to their advantage-good or bad....As far as I am concerned he is a self-centered asshole.....

125. I can't imagine what it's like to be a parent whose child has been turned against them. For the sake of children, when you go through a divorce everyone knows you keep your disagreements and/or disdain for one another OUT OF IT. I blame Kim Basinger...it is a mother's responsibility to keep the relationship healthy and strong between the children and their father!!! Basinger doesn't realize the only person she is hurting here is her daughter. My ex husband and I have a good relationship BECAUSE we put our children first. He was a terrible husband, but a good father. I have always put that first as Kim should have!

If Alec Baldwin was not a Hollywood wacko, he would have been arrested for that sound bite. Lovely Fatherly role model. I think he should go on the View. 127. It's way past time for Rosie to go. She should have never been there in the first place. I think most of the stuff she says is just for effect. She takes a topic and takes the opposite position because she knows she'll get publicity. I believe she has no real thoughts of her own and is a floundering has been/still wanna be. She started out ok on her own show.. then BLAM!!!.. went on rampages everywhere!!! to anyone!!! Nuff of her.

As for Alec? What he said to his daughter was understandable (except for the "pig" part). But I think he was actually hoping his wife was listening to it and meant it for her, not his kid (why didn't she have her phone on if they had a set time to talk - Did mom take it away and turn it off just for spite? - and why the hell does an 11 y/o have a cell phone anyway?? and one that her parents don't monitor???) - but he did forget that his kid would be listening, too. Divorce can be unbelievably bitter, hurtful, and wounding to everyone involved. Most people do not have the inhuman emotional control necessary to monitor how they think, what they say, or their reactions to hurt - every single minute of every day. He exploded from total frustration.. and the public got to watch.. how sad... And do not tell me that any adult who iwas married with kids and went though a divorce never ever said or did anything they regret after the heat of the moment. Poor kid to think that everyone knows her business now. How embarressingly wounded she must feel. It's one thing when your dad yells at you - you can handle that - , it's a total other thing when everyone (friends, relatives, and people you don't even know!!! get to hear it and comment about it) Whoever leaked this should bear the biggest blame of all.. Shame on you.
Why wasn't the message just deleted??? If just the daughter heard it, I am sure it would have been deleted. Not a matter of turning it over to a judge, she would have just deleted it. Only a MOM who is in the middle of a major bitter divorce fight and is not thinking straight would save this kind of message and use it against an almost ex. How sad.

128. You know, I didn't think I would weigh in on this one, but I am so sick of hearing people who feel sorry for Alec, and how parental alienation made him rage at his daughter. That may have seemed a little more plausible if his rage had been directed at his ex-wife, not the daughter that he "adores". This guy is a time bomb, and if I was his ex, I would take that every step possible to make sure this nut is nowhere near my child.

129. I personally feel sorry for Alec. and for his daughter. The 2 that are the true victims in this divorce. Basinger is facing trial on 12 misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt for allegedly disregarding court orders concerning Baldwin's visitation rights.
How would you feel if your ex spouse wouldn't let you see your own child. How would you react?
Granted, what Alec said on the phone to his daughter if anything should have been directed at Kim, but frustration can make you do unspeakable things. Doesn't excuse it, just makes it understandable.

For Kim to then leak the recording is just as bad. That is not understandable. Shows me that she is not the woman everyone thinks she is. I pray that this family gets their act together and considers their child and the hurt and pain this is doing to her. Act like adults for the child. Please!

130. I feel bad for both Alec and Ireland. I think it is appauling that the private message was ever aired to the public and the press, and shows people were out to hurt him. He is a caring father, obviously. He could have called her a Turkey.....would that have been a better choice? Come on people, didn't you at 11 have to spend time in the woodshed too? Did that get aired, NO. Did that break your spirit, NO, most likely build you up. It would be a different story if he called her the same thing Don Imus said a week ago to the team of women. The press needs to get down to the news of the day.....serious news.........this is NOT NEWS. This is a father doing his job. God bless him. The press needs to stop and tend to important matters, and let these people work out their problems for the sake of the child and give some peace to them!!!!!!!!!!!

131. Oh my god!! The maniac has nerve. His divorce was not yesterday for pete's sake, he needs to get over it. I believe he acts this way all the time. He is an arrogant big mouth and thinks he's all that. He isn't. I hope this will open his eyes. The tape should not have been made public, but I bet this is not the first time he went off on his daughter. He seemed very comfortable with it and didn't seem to have any remorse but to blame Kim for releasing it. This guy is divorced for a REASON! He's a low life dog.

134. As much as it sucked for people to hear what was said, I have a question, who hurt the poor girl more? Alec for the call or the ex-bitch for making it public and humiliating the poor kid in front of the whole country.

I have an self centered ex that thinks she is the mom of the year too, she plays mind games with my 13 and 16 year old kid that should be criminal.... I wish my ex was a guy for 15 seconds so I could knock her front horse teeth out!!!

Kim Bassinger is going to go through life a bitter, nasty lonely old maid,,,,I hate B****** like her...
