Did Rosie Want to Boot Babwa?

Rosie O'Donnell's exit from "The View" had nothing to do with contract terms and everything to do with Rosie wanting to kick Barbara Walters off the show Babwa created, according to reports this morning.

Yesterday, Rosie claimed that her departure was the result of a contract dispute, but the New York Post reports that what Ro really wanted was to take over the show by herself. What's more, the Post's source says that ABC could've kept her by buying out Babwa's share of the show, but decided they had had enough of the outspoken O'Donnell.

Rosie's rep says that the report is "categorically false." Meanwhile, buzz about what Ro will do next is just that -- buzz -- and her rep says she's "going to sit back" and decide.

Alec – Hate-Spew Was Meant for Kim, Not Kid

Alec Baldwin claims that the ugly venom in his voice mail message to daughter Ireland that TMZ posted exclusively last week was really directed at Ireland's mom Kim Basinger, not at the 11-year-old herself. "I took [my anger] out on the wrong person," said Baldwin yesterday during his taped appearance on "The View," slated for broadcast Friday morning, according to a transcript obtained by the AP.

Baldwin told Rosie & Co. that "there's nothing wrong with being frustrated or angry," but when asked by Barbara whether he meant it for his ex-wife Basinger and not for Ireland, he replied, "I think that goes without saying." Still, he wouldn't say whether he had actually spoken to Ireland since the voice mail was made public.

Did Prince Diss Paris in Public?

Prince challenged Paris to a sing-off at his Las Vegas show -- and Paris Hilton couldn't step up, if a report in Us is to be believed. The hotel heiress was in the audience at Prince's Club 3121 show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and Prince invited her onstage. When, according to Us, she skipped up to take her place in the spotlight, Prince handed her a mic and called out to the crowd, "Let's see if she can really sing," a challenge that so dismayed Paris that she ended up ditching the stage and leaving just two songs later. Paris' rep denies the incident.

Party Favors: Even When Mandy Moore's Bad, She's Still Good ... Could Jacko Come to Big Apple? ... Spidey Needs Rocking Chair

Mandy Moore tells Parade magazine in an exclusive interview that she's been very, very bad: Her abuse of her celebrity, she admits, includes cutting to the front of the line at roller coasters. Uh, OK, Mandy, you naughty girl. ... Talk about a circus: Michael Jackson might be coming to Manhattan for a June 18 trial date of a case in which a New Jersey financial firm is claiming they were stiffed for $48 million. Federal marshals, say Rush & Molloy, have been alerted, but it's unclear whether he'll actually turn up. ... Spider-Man might be capable of flying through the concrete canyons of the big city, but his real-life alter-ego Tobey Maguire needs a rocking chair, according to Page Six. He travels with an entourage of 10, a personal chef, and a rocking chair wherever he's at.

31. Too bad Barbara didn't have the balls to stand up for Rosie. She may have angered a lot of people, but she had very educated and interesting opinions. The show will not be the same without her. If she went up against the View in the same timeslot, I would definitely watch Rosie. She is so much more interesting to listen to, unlike Barbara who is self serving and dull and hard to understand at times, Elisabeth who is just plain stupid. That leaves Joy, who will be the only redeeming factor of the show. The View has run its course and should just call it quits. It's called "The View" for a reason. Who needs another mindless talk show with cooking segments, shopping advice, and child advice? The View will lose a lot of viewers and see that Rosie really was an asset. As for Donald Trump?!?!?!? WHO CARES WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT ANYTHING?!?!?!?!?

33. #34 One parent can't turn a kid against another parent if that parent were loving, caring, responsible, and a moral parent to the child. Children aren't dumb and numb of feelings. They know and feel love and concern from a parent when they are getting that, and no one, not even the other parent can persuade them from another nurturing parent. Stop making excuses for anger, rage, disappointment and insecurity. No one wants to live in fear, screaming and name calling, especially from a parent. Releasing Alec's tape has put his insecure a** on notice!!!!

34. It is my understanding that Kim B and Alec B have court agreed documents where
they both agreed to VISITATION and PHONE CALL times between Dad
and daughter.

It sounded to me on the voice message this HAS NOT
BEEN THE FIRST TIME Ireland did not answer the phone at the
designated time.

This clearly shows Ireland not being responsible to the agreement made between her father, mother and the courts.

If her mother does not make Ireland follow the agreement, the courts don’t make Ireland follow the agreement and Dad is not allow to get Ireland to follow the agreement guidelines then a 11 year old has been left to learn responsibility from WHOM???

36. I think the Secret Service and FBI ought to revisit Alec's threats to kill the president, vice president, etc. in light of this latest indication that he is truly unbalanced.

37. So much talk about how Rosie was a witch or Rosie has a big mouth. How many of you who have dissed Rosie have gone out on a limb and spoke from your heart knowing that people would strike back at you??? She is a courageous human being that has allowed herself to be ridiculed, laughed at in order to speak her truth." I may not always agree with what she says but I will fight to the death her right to say it." I commend her and I thing we should all take personal inventory before we say hateful things about eachother.

39. Prince DID diss Paris at his show on April 20th. I was there and I saw the whole thing. He tried and tried to get her to sing Brick House, but she kept waving the mic away. He kept saying everyone can sing, show them what you got. She refused. Finally, some other girl from the audience who was on stage grabbed the mic and belted it out. She sang better than Paris could, had she tried. Paris and her entourage, which included Kim K. and Nikki Reed, left shortly after she wouldn't sing.

40.
Um, well I think all of these supposed "controversies" are a way of keeping the American public numb to the fact that we are engaged in a bloody war in the middle east that we are LOSING. Frankly I could care less how super celebrities discipline their kids. It's none of my business. And the "feud" between Barbara Walters and Rosie O'Donnell. Really, who cares. She said, she said. Do you think anybody will remember this nonsense five years from now? Or care? Wake up and smell the coffee people. We are being dumbed down and distracted by the industrial military complex. Nothing less.

41. I would like the thank the millions of feminists for coming out of the woodwork to jump on the bandwagon hell-bent on destroying Alec Baldwin's career... Notice how the issue at hand is between a father and his daughter... NOT about a man belitting someone on the grounds of sex...

Right now the media is tearing this man from his family, with the help of his worthless, angry, jealous x-wife... All of the haters just sit there.. People get your own lives... Who in the hell wouldn't crack if you had your every action being judged... It's sad that these days a father has to defend himself from the public, purely because he told his daughter she was a little bitch, and he was going to straighten her out... MEDIA.. get off it.. you know you've been much more hard on your children... The people who are appauled are the ones who know nothing about parenting, and more about bank account transfers and church meetings... As if you're actually evolving....

42. If you were Ireland, would you want to receive phone calls from such an abusive father? I would be conveniently unavailable also. No parent can brainwash a child even if they try to, the child always sees through it and responds to the truthful parent, not the fake big mouth one who spouts fake sentiments about love, then acts in an abusive fashion repeatedly. Whether or not Alec meant his tirade for Kim, he left it on Ireland's cell phone calling her "a little pig" and her mother "a pain in the ass". He knew who he was talking to. This is a B.S. fake excuse. I'm glad it was released to the public. I'm sure Ireland is too, so she doesn't have to suffer in silence with no one but her mother knowing what a loud mouth control freak her father is.

43. Before the "View" airs on Friday, I believe the employees, their audience, attorneys, family court judges, and most imprortantly parents should take a look at comment, #167, then comment #168, under "Kim Basinger Saves Face at TMZ.com The date this site was posted is April 24, 2007. As mother's who have been in this same situation let's not give Mr. Baldwin a platform to spew his venum with his only "excuse for his abusive behavior" is "Parental Alienation". Obviously those who support Mr. Baldwin have never lived or had a child with his type of persnality and until we prove it, our children are suffering. I hope the "View", with all it's hosts, being mother's also, take responsibility and show both sides of this very damaging child crisis we have in AMERICA!

44. There are only 2 things wrong with "The View."

The style and the content.
