Alec Baldwin Gives His "View"

46. It is obvious that Alec feels terrible for what happened. I think that this whole thing is a "private" family matter and I would like the parent that as NEVER lost it to be the one to throw the first stone. I love my children and like Alec, I have an ex that does everything in his power to make like a living hell for me. EVERYONE had their limits! It' unfortunate that parents often use their children as weapons to get back at each other. I hope this all works out for Alec and Ireland. Hang in there...there are a lot of parents that are going through the same crap and we know what Alec is going though~

48. I agree with the response that this was an academic performance by Alex Baldwin. People need to remember that this man is a wife abuser and is now transitioning this abuse to his daughter because he can no longer get to his ex. He should have a psycological evaluation because he clearly has major problems!! Our society is allowing these mental and physical abusers to continue to victimize the children because they have a "parental right" to be involved!! This is absolutely disgusting and I can't believe he is using his book to justify his actions and hide behind " parental alienation" because people are trying to protect this child from his physical and mental abuses.

49. Mr. Baldwin is a frustrated man of a spoiled rotten daughter and ex-wife. Bet that KB didn't leak this out...who else has access to her daughter's cell phone when the other parent is on another coast a very large country? If it is anyone and her mother, parenting priorities are COMPLETELY out of wack.

50. You have to experience the family courts to get how bad they have become. Same thing with parental alienation.

Before I went through it I thought the courts would be reasonable. What an eye opening that turned out to be.

There is no innocent until proven guilty.

Or due process.

Or equal protection under the law

Or other rights you thought you had.

As a man I was violently attacked by my wife again and again. No one would help. Family Court holds that against the man if they bring it up. Only 2% of men bring up violence from a female, most say nothing.

When you get your court orders regarding custody, you barely get to see the child. Weekend sports are out. The child can make 1/2 the games and none of the practices.

If medical attention is not provided by Mom, short of a hospital job nothing is done.

If you were the main parent to the kids (6% of men) then instantly the woman gets temporary custody.

Lawyers prolong the resolution to make more money.

If a divorce is coming try to stay out of court..they will just tend to reward the woman.

I'm shocked that so-called feminists don't complain. Family Court assumes women are helpless inferiors needing handouts and help.

"She made me do it"............defense..."If she just wouldn't make me so angry, or if SHE would just do it this way, or if she would of just been quiet",..I wouldn't strike out in an abusive way......blah blah blah....

Been there, done it, and have the healed broken bones, not to mention LOW self esteem and the lack of being able to TRUST anyone else, to prove it!

I got "lucky", my abuser DIED, from a car accident, he was drunk and drugged out, right after I left him, and right after our first court date, when the judge wasn't going to allow him unsupervised visits........found out he was on the way to KILL me and our children.......left a note back at the house, inwhich he detailed what he was going to do to me, and our kids!

55. Don't be sucked in!!!! All this sympathy for alec and none for kim? She's been through the wringer with him! He's shown anger problems time and time again and I doubt this is the first time he's went off on his daughter either. We won't know the truth until Ireland is grown and choses to talk about what really happened. I don't believe he softly gently wakes his daughter with a stroke to her hair and Kim busts in screaming and yelling cussing at Ireland to get up in the morning. His "stories" were just that stories to get sympathy swinging his way. I think Ireland is the only one who deserves our sympathy.

People who are excusing Alec for his behaviour because someone leaked the information....get a grip!! Whether or not it was leaked, is not the issue. Everyone seems to be generalizing or applying this incident to their own experience. STOP IT! Yes, there are alienated Dad's...there are also dead beat Dad's. There are Mother's who are great at keeping the peace, sharing custody and the one's who like to stir the pot. We do not know the whole story with this case. You people would critize Kim and say this is all her fault....she is protecting her child. Obviously, if the courts have not given Mr. Baldwin visitation rights, there is a good reason!! What does he want? The parents are making this worse than it has to be....but that is both of them..not just her. Maytbe Dr. Phil can help them. I just watched clips of Alec's violent behaviour...on national TV shows!!...now he wants sympathy and respect? Please.....Alec has been the one on damage control...on his web site...on the View .....late night.....and EVERY SINGLE TIME....is blaming it on Kim (cause she is hard to deal with).....blaming it on the fact that it was leaked!! Get over it already....you said it, you did it, you pay for it. Go get some anger management help and maybe the courts will grant you the RIGHT to have a relationship with your daughter; if she still wants to.
Any for all you people who say Kim is brainwashing the daughter....once the daughter is old enough to decide for herself (not long now)....she will see for herself; if he's a big goof or not. I'm sure her mother was protecting her from something...

60. Baldwin is a typical mental and possibly physical abuser. They're always sorry after the fact. They will show remorse with tears till the next time. Why are people upset he got caught in the act? Wish every abuser should have that luck. Oh yes, I was abused physicaly and mentally I know the signs. When I heard his voice it sent shivers up my spine. He used the air waves of the "the view" to make it other pples fault. Again,typical abuser. Couldn't finish listening to his garbage. Trust me he will do it again but will be more careful that others don't witness it.
