Lets Get This Party Started
Gere to Indian "Moral Police" -- Kiss My White A**

Richard Gere isn't bothered that a warrant's out for his arrest in India, and he's accusing a "very small right-wing, very conservative" faction in the country for coming after him for his public kissing of an Indian actress. "They do this kind of thing quite often," Gere told Jon Stewart on last night's "Daily Show." "I don't know that anyone has actually gone to jail ... It goes to a reputable court and they throw it out." Yesterday, an Indian judge issued a warrant for Gere's arrest in Jaipur, saying that he had "transgressed all limits of vulgarity" when he smooched Shilpa Shetty at an AIDS benefit.

Penn Tried to Bail Eve, Then Bailed to Avoid Paps

Wondering what Sean Penn was doing in the middle of the night to visit Eve in an LAPD station house, as TMZ reported exclusively yesterday morning? According to Rush & Molloy, he offered to bail her out – but when he saw that the press was gathering, he hightailed it out, telling Eve, "Let me leave before this becomes something bigger than it is."

The rapper-actress, says a source, was "surprised" to see Penn arrive at the Hollywood division, and when he offered to pay her $30,000 bail, she politely declined. But Penn then got skittish when he noticed that the paparazzi were assembling, though it was too late – TMZ caught him coming out. It's still unclear whether the pair were hanging out earlier in the evening.

Party Favors: Did Queen Breakup Wills and Kate? ... Beyonce Can't Tell Herself from Shakira ... "Idol" Gives over $60 Million Back

Could Queen Elizabeth II have broken up her grandson Wills and longtime galpal Kate Middleton for her own ego's sake? OK! magazine reports that the Queen didn't want a young "Diana type" to overshadow her reign, and thus didn't invite Kate to her big 81st birthday bash, precipitating the end. ... Beyonce is doing double-takes when she looks at her new video "Beautiful Liar" with Shakira, because she can't tell whether it's herself or the Latin lovely, reports WENN. ... The two-day "American Idol" special "Idol Gives Back" has already raised more than $60 million for relief programs in America and Africa, according to FOX.

17. YES I DID WATCH THE SHOW!!!! I think the money should all stay here. The president sends plenty of funds to Africa. It is not our fault the money does not make it to the villages. We need to help our own people. I understand SOME of the money is staying here but most of it will be going to Africa. Most of the show was about Africa. It really pisses me off to no end that we put others before our own. Just like the war in Iraq. If these people want to kill each then so be it. We cannot be the world's police. Celebrities and the like should worry about taking care of the American people. We may be the richest nation but we sure have a lot of poor people.

19. Why should India "lighten up?" Gere was in their country. When in Rome...

20. I do agree with most of whats said about giving back to america-----------but i think as far as africa if birth control was given less children would suffer they need to be better educated that way,an d more money should help the starving children/vets here in the US

22. #23 - When you were watching the show you should have heard that donations are to be divided in half ... half for American and half for Africa. Everyone who donated money is aware of the fact so I guess if the people who actually donated the money aren't complaining why should you?

I think AI should be given some props because they are one of the first well known organizations to raise money for the American children. Most times is takes some sort of diaster or tragedy that makes the headlines before celebrities come out to help Americans ... at least AI has recognized that there are problems in this country.

23. Gere should get his white butt back into his own country where he can mingle with his own kind. The sixties are over and he should just grow up and finally act mature. Third World cultures and their mentalities are bizarre, oppressive, sexist, uneducated and unenlightened.

24. #26 - Yes I did watch the show and I do understand that but I guess you can say I am very bitter because of the situation here in America. I don't agree with sending funds to other countries, nations, etc. We need to take care of America and Americans before we are a third world nation. Isn't it bad enough we are sending all our jobs to Mexico and India. Crap, I can't even get tech support from someone who speaks english well enough to for me to understand. I know kids are very sick in Africa and I am not trying to be ignorant I just don't agree with all the giving away we do. If we have that kind of money to give away we should be able to provide healthcare for each and every one of our citizens as well as medicine. Senior citizens should not be rationing their mediciation so they can make a buck stretch. By the time I am ready to collect SS there won't be any because we keep giving it away. Why can't you people see this?

25. Tina - I heard you loud and clear and you have some very valid points. There's lots of things I totally agree with you on too. I work in the healthcare field and it's tough to see all the illegals that come in here and we end up writing off their bills because they have no insurance, no income (none that can be traced because they are usually paid in cash) so we write off their bills or they can even qualify for a special Medicaid program specifically for illegals but yet alot of our own people don't have healthcare. I better stop talking about it or I could get on my soap box LOL I guess I'm not as upset with AI as I am with organizations because as I said before they are one of the first to acknowledge and do something about the American Children/Families.

26. What was Gere trying to prove anyway? It's common knowledge that he is more partial to gerbils than women.

27. Cindy K. it seems like you and I may be on the same page. It's nice to be able to correspond with someone who understands what is really going on.

28.
Out of respect for his Mom, can we all let Will continue to mature without all the stupid, annonymous blogs that we all know are coming for him???

Just my opinion, again...

And that is that this guy can be able to live in relative freedom. He can be a "free-thinker" all on his own, and already has a God-Given brain to do that thinking with.

Let's honor his Ma's hopes and dreams Folks...cause if anybody had a "right" to be a "snob" and a "diva-ridden-media-queen-be-all-to-everyone-else-self-promoting-poll-reader-rise-above-reality"...person...well, it was for his Ma to do! AND...she found her own voice in all the crap!!! England's Rose!!!

Let Wills be Wills Folks! Talk about something else...if nothing else...for Diana... Thanks in advance

29. #28! well said Tina. Lets take care of our own country first before its Group A: USA and Group B: Rest of the world. There is already enough hatred of US around the world (just been to Belgium and tasted one...we are simply FOOLS in their eyes). And oh yeah...you know why we go out giving donations to other countries (even if they don't beg): well..yeah simply POLITICAL...the carrot or stick policy just to retain world dominancy. And oh yeah...you know why jobs go to India, Mexico and China? in simple terms, because we don't have enough skills at affordable prices here to take care.

Look:
We couldn't even handle katrina incident properly...acted like a thirld world country and we go out preaching to the world...WHY WOULDN'T THE WORLD LAUGH AT US???
We couldn't integrate our black people effectively...WHY WOULDN'T THE WORLD LAUGH AT US??? We have a HUGE (really HUGE) TRADE DEFICIT with China and we go out donating to others...WHY WOULDN'T THE WORLD LAUGH AT US???

Bottom Line: Why are we even bothered about Gere's incident:
1. that happened thousands of miles away when our own shore is being washed away
2. and that, the incident is simply a PUBLICITY MEDIA STUNT by some bunch of conservative jokers!

I AM AFRAID WE AMERICANS WILL BRING DOOM ON OURSELVES ONE DAY IF WE CONTINUE TO ACT LIKE THIS!

30. RE: the money that was donated...
I hate to see celebrities asking for us to donate OUR money for causes when -- lets just think, what would happen if they all donated their goodie bags from all the top awards shows - wonder how much food that would buy?
