Elisabeth to Pop Out Rosie's Replacement?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck told the world today that she's three months pregnant -- which would bring her little baby Republican into the world just nearly in time to fill Rosie O'Donnell's Birkenstocks.

It was all smiles and confetti between E and her elders on "The View" this morning, when Hasselbeck proclaimed the happy news about her second baby, though Barbara Walters admitted that she nearly plotzed when Elisabeth told her she had something to say, following on the heels of Rosie's exit announcement last week.

This does raise the question of what happens in November, during all-important sweeps period, when the baby is due, because O'Donnell will be gone -- and Hasselbeck's baby will put her out for at least a few weeks. Could there be a Star on "The View's" horizon?

31. You really think this poor little baby can fill Rosie's shoes("Birkenstocks")? Few of the players in the NBA have feet that big. Of course Rosie's may have shrunk because she's had to take them out of her big yap so often. Rosie should use her forced down time since the dismissal to tour Gary Indiana. The steelworkers can show her fires where they melt steel and anything else. Poor Rosie defied anyone to show her "how fire can melt steel". Rosie is living proof that a mind (no matter how small) is a terrible thing to waste!

33. Yea get rid of her and just pick up another kool-aid drinker. Then the show will be first class.
Oh sorry, I meant first grade.

34. #25 YOU ARE A COMPLETE ASS! I WONDER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.
NAME CALLING ONLY MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT. YOU CAN DISAGREE WITH ROSIE WHICH IS YOUR RIGHT JUST LIKE IT IS HER RIGHT TO SAY WHAT SHE BELIEVES...THAT'S AMERICA!!! I REALLY DO FEEL SORRY FOR YOU SINCE YOU MUST HAVE SUCH A HORRIBLE LIFE THAT IT MAKES YOU TURN TO NAME CALLING TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER.
IT IS SOOOO SAD.

35. I DO NOT WATCH THE VIEW. ESPECIALLY WHEN STAR JONES LEFT. ROSIE O'DONNEL HAS HER OWN LIFESTYLE, WHICH IS FINE BUT WHEN SHE WAS ON THE SHOW ALL OF IT WAS HER AND EVERYBODY ELSE WAS WRONG. THEY LET THIS PERSON ADOPT CHILDREN. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

36. Patricia Heaton is a horrible replacement choice.
Sure you may have liked her on Everybody Loves Raymond, but thats a scripted show.
I saw her once live at the David Letterman show and she really had nothing to talk about except her 10 kids and all her plastic surgery she had.

37. She is OVER-rated. Who cares that she's popping out another republican?

Next!

I don't want to stamp on your little hate parade, but in response to the "who cares" question, apparently your wonderful friend ROSIE does because she practically dragged it out of her!

If you can't be happy for a woman who is having a child, then I feel sorry for you. Crawl back into the muck from which you evolved.

As for Elizabeth being too judgmental or self-righteous, you must be joking. I don't think she's nearly as pompous as you make her out to be (she IS a Massachusetts Yankee, and I have to give her a little bit of leeway on that alone). Sometimes I don't think she stands up to the opposition quite strongly enough. If it were me on the opposite side of the table, they'd have to hold me down to prevent me from strangling some folks. And that, my friends, would definitely be a ratings-getter!!

41. Congratulations, Elisabeth and family! Thank you for standing up for the Christians and our beliefs, morals and values. I agree they need to replace Rosie with a smart, conservative Republican who can stand up for the opinions and values of the regular person like me! Oherwise when E. is gone on maternity leave we will have no voice to represent our views on The View.

42. Elizabeth makes the most sense on the view, but is not gutsy enough to stand up to the loudmouth Rosie and allowed herself to be shouted down by her. Rosie's loony ideas won't stand on their own so the only way she can operate is to talk over everyone else and drown them out. The View needs a stronger conservative point-of-view that can be delivered by someone with more conviction.

44. Congratulations to Elizabeth and Tim. She is the spark on the View; vivacious, and bright, and can hold her own when being over run by Rosie the Bull, and Joy , who offers nothing constructive or interesting to the" Phew," i.e. "The View". Barbara has sunk to an all time low and has lost her appeal as she really doesn`t have an opinion when there is controversy it seems. I think the network might save the show now that O`Donnell will be going. She`s the accident that did happen. The replacement should be a woman that is respected who will not act as a political figure to insult our government , but be wholesome, talented, ( unlike Joy), and have something constructive to offer. Please not Barr.

I would like to see Joy replace Rosie. She is a very funny lady, she is level headed
also. She's educated, has very logical thinking where politics are concerned and
she can be very funny. She should replace Rosie. Then the "View" should
seek out two other smart and popular women.
