Elisabeth to Pop Out Rosie's Replacement?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck told the world today that she's three months pregnant -- which would bring her little baby Republican into the world just nearly in time to fill Rosie O'Donnell's Birkenstocks.

It was all smiles and confetti between E and her elders on "The View" this morning, when Hasselbeck proclaimed the happy news about her second baby, though Barbara Walters admitted that she nearly plotzed when Elisabeth told her she had something to say, following on the heels of Rosie's exit announcement last week.

This does raise the question of what happens in November, during all-important sweeps period, when the baby is due, because O'Donnell will be gone -- and Hasselbeck's baby will put her out for at least a few weeks. Could there be a Star on "The View's" horizon?

61. I agree with Reality Check. Why all the pregnancies with homeless kids and critters dying for homes? How self centered can these people be?

62. Yeah, I'm sick of pregos, too. This cult of baby worship is really stupid. Like they can't justify their own existence or find ways to help the world be better so they decide to have a litter and sit home wiping noses and butts for 18 years. Gross. Do something that matters.

66. For someone married to David Hasselbeck, she is so damn naive. She's just another blond with no brains. I think she's just been trying to work her way into getting a permanent job on Fox news where she belongs.

67. oh please...this is the funniest and the best thing for the View....they will get rid of Rosie and then Liz and get some pumping new blood in there, this is the beautiful beginning to a delicious end. My bets are that Liz won't come back (thank God), and hopefully Whoppi will be on board and the occasional Rosie as a guest host....I still don't know why they don't get Sherri Sheppard on there full time...she rocks when she's co-hosted...also gotta give props to Rose McGowan when she cohosted; the one actress that actually had a brain and spoke and asked questions and got in the HOT TOPICS without fear. SPRING CLEANING (SWEEPS CLEANING)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

68. How about this? The viewers who agree with Elisabeth watch Fox news and think it's real news. They believe everything the Bush administration feeds to them and can't think for themselves. Damn, I'd rather have no diploma than believe everything I see and hear without thinking for myself.

41. I have a simple and logical theory. The viewers that enjoy and appreciate Elisabeth H.'s input on the view are the intelligent viewers. They probably have High School diploma's or better, read books on occasion, and enjoy watching Jeopardy. The viewers that 'can't stand her' (ie: # 4, 5, & 14), probably failed Elementary school, read the National Enquirer to obtain their news, and enjoy watching the 'Jerry Springer' show! Simply put, the later viewers are stupid and ignorant. Bye bye Rosie!

69. Why are we congratulating her? I'd rather congratulate someone who actually accomplishes something, like spending their time on life and death charities and on easing the suffering in the world. All she's doing is what all the other robot women who think preganancy makes them worth something do: unthinkingly procreate more people into an overpopulated world. All that does is add more burdens to the environment and on the rest of us taxpayers who choose NOT to add to the overpopulation problem. Now I'm going to pay more taxes to support HER choice to replicate herself. She gets a deduction on her taxes for adding more burdens, but I pay for her screaming brats' school, bus, textbooks, etc and get no deduction for being responsible and NOT adding unnecessary babies to the world. Go figure

70. I think it's time for a radical conservative such as Ann Coulter to spice things up and balance things out a bit. They think nothing of putting the political extremes of her on (of course that's okay) and she's pretty entertaining.

72. Elizabeth should stay home with her 2 babies and stop boring the viewers. She doesn't add enough insight and she is far too conservative and not easy for me, a woman with a few little ones, to relate too. Find someone funny, stylish, and smart, I'm tired of Miss Priss.

73. #47 - You are Right!

#55 - You speak of all these people popping out kids when there are so many orphaned kids in this world. You are talking about a responsible employed MARRIED woman having a child. Since when is that a crime? Are you also bashing all the irresponsible people who keep "popping out kids like Pez dispensers" so they can get more welfare.

#67 talks about having to pay more taxes to support EH's children. Are you kidding me? What about all of us hard working people who pay more taxes to support all the people on welfare. You are paying more taxes to support these people who take advantage of the system than you ever would pay for EH's children. Don't get me wrong, I know not everyone on welfare abuses the system. But why, for instance, is it my responsibility (my taxes) to pay for a young irresponsible woman with a child to go to college when a responsible young women who made the right choices in life (no children) can barely afford to go to college? Why is she being punished for doing the right thing?

Good luck Elizabeth.

74. What does her political views have to do with just wishing her congratulations on her pregnancy? Some people act like you have a limited amount of well wishes and giving one out might run you dry. WTH?
