Birkhead and Baby Back in Larry's Old Kentucky Home

Larry Birkhead is back -- finally -- on American soil with baby Dannielynn, and it sounds like he's ready to have some fun and, for his sake, eat some home cookin'

A distinctly gaunt Birkhead touched down in his hometown Louisville airport not long ago, and told our friends at WDRB FOX 41 in Louisville, "It just feels good to be home," adding that he's ready to "relax and horse around," which was appropriate enough given this Saturday's Kentucky Derby. He said he'll be heading to the Barnstable Brown party on Friday, which has particular meaning for him -- and his daughter -- as it's where he first met Anna Nicole Smith.

Birkhead shed a few tears as he spoke to reporters, but kept his baby, who has spent her entire life thus far in the Bahamas, shielded from view. He also wouldn't reveal whether he'll be staying in Louisville with Dannielynn, where his mother lives, or take her to his home base in Los Angeles.

"This is one pit stop," joked Birkhead.

63. If you go to access hollywood and watch the video, you can see that HK$ gets onto the plane first. So tell me, why the hell is he still around? It's appalling!

66. When you look at Larry...you see a young man who just got home from a longggg battle for t his baby!... Damn Virgie for putting him through what she did!! He had already been through hell. I truly hope she has some compassion now ( ha) and lets him have his time with DL and his family.... He needs the rest!!

Is this you John OQ? Sure sounds like your line of trash, or maybe Vergie. Just go away!!! This poor guy has had enough and the whole world knows her motives. If she was such a loving "grandma" why was she trying to stop DL from leaving HKS? Puzzle? And she missed her last visit with that precious baby.....If you only knew all of the prayers that are going out to that sweet little family surely you would give up. Oh well you must have lots of money to waste.

69. "Happy Homecoming and Happy May Day, Larry Birkhead and Baby Daughter!!"

Take care of yourself during the (bittersweet) next several days in your native Kentucky (allow yourself to release the stress of the past several months, grieve, sleep, and eat while you are with your family and "Roxy the Nanny" who can give the baby a lot of loving attention while there).

It's always wonderful to go home, i.e. back to one's childhood roots, though once we stretch and creatively break free of our childhood (another geographic location) it can never be a permanent return!

Some might think they would be safer in Kentucky than California but this is wholly unfounded right now. Hopefully, Larry Birkhead will return to California (after The Bahamas closure) and attempt to create a protective lifestyle that is conducive to his personal creative freedom while establishing an individuated family life here. It would be nice if one of his siblings (along with children) would locate here to be with him. There are many wonderful opportunities and communities along the West Coast and it is possible that Larry Birkhead could settle (outside of Hollywood) where Dannielynn can truly experience a normal childhood surrounded in safety.

71. Larry makes resident in KY, second home in CA, Virgie can't do a thing about it. I can see her now trying to get the baby from Larry in KY, would laugh her out of the state. We look out for our people. I think she is waiting to see what state he resides in and if it's CA she hoping for a better chance in winning. But not in KY NO 9TH district court here. Virgie has lost all the way around. No Anna, No Daniel, No Dannielynn. Money sure can blind people. She must be using a SEEING EYE DOG BY NOW

73. 10. Bittersweet in many ways for Larry - This is where his journey began with ANS - 3 years ago this weekend - he returns with their child - and without ANS - emotional time for him I would say.

74. Come on people let Larry and his daughter have their day. By happy for them. He has been fighting for Dannielynn for 7 month's. What would you look like after all that time. As for HK$ I could less if he was on the plane or not. The next time I hear anything from him I hope it's in a Florida court.
