Birkhead and Baby Back in Larry's Old Kentucky Home

Larry Birkhead is back -- finally -- on American soil with baby Dannielynn, and it sounds like he's ready to have some fun and, for his sake, eat some home cookin'

A distinctly gaunt Birkhead touched down in his hometown Louisville airport not long ago, and told our friends at WDRB FOX 41 in Louisville, "It just feels good to be home," adding that he's ready to "relax and horse around," which was appropriate enough given this Saturday's Kentucky Derby. He said he'll be heading to the Barnstable Brown party on Friday, which has particular meaning for him -- and his daughter -- as it's where he first met Anna Nicole Smith.

Birkhead shed a few tears as he spoke to reporters, but kept his baby, who has spent her entire life thus far in the Bahamas, shielded from view. He also wouldn't reveal whether he'll be staying in Louisville with Dannielynn, where his mother lives, or take her to his home base in Los Angeles.

"This is one pit stop," joked Birkhead.

961. Why do people keep bringing up the money that was paid? One million dollars isn't all that much after you pay tax's. There really wont be enough to pay for his first attorney. Also why do you say he is buddies with Howard? They had to get along so Larry could get to know "his" baby. Did you really expect this to happen in a motel room? She is a beautiful baby and I would like to see more pictures of her as she grows up but still hope the media doesn't "hound" her. As for Vergie she held up the funeral then held Larry up to bring his baby home and no that was not right and if anyone should not get $$$$$$ it is her. Good luck and prayers for Larry and DL. Watch your back with Virgie.

962. where's the howard? i see he's still selling anna stories to et. isn't today the day he gets booted from horizions? hope they show the bahamian "escorts" (lmao) removing his worthless ass from the house!

tmz sure is being "hush hush" when it comes to howard. what gives tmz? show pics of him "lounging" poolside at horizons before he gets booted, so we have a place to go to "blast his ass"... that is at least until he goes to jail.

963. Larry...You are a VERY SEXY man and more important a man who is DEVOTED to his baby girl. She needs you and you didn't give up when the going got tough. Now, baby Dannielynn is SAFE from Howard and all the other screwballs. I kind of felt sorry for Virgie in the beginning but then realized she is OUT OF CONTROL!

964. 961. Kerry, Vergie is not trying to get justice for anyone. She wants custody of DL and control over any money that comes her way. that is why BL may not to entusiastic about her. When Vergie came on the scene she told LB she would be very happy to be a grandmother, and she hoped LB would alow her visitation. LB said he would be happy to do that. She is the one that keeps changing things. John O'Quin does not do family court. and Vergies family could sell there souls and still not be able to afford him. There is more to this than Vergie is admitting.

965. I so happy for Larry to final be able to take Dannielynn home to meet his family. He seem to be a great person and I am sure he nor his family will allow anything to happen to this beautiful baby. I glad Larry is keeping some secret regarding their plans, I just don't trust Virgie and her family when it come to Larry and Dannielynn safety.
LARRY KEEP BODYGUARDS AT ALL TIMES AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DETAIL WILL OF WHO GET DANNIELYNN SHOULD ANYTHING HAPPEN TO YOU. Don't let Virgie get your baby at any cost. and stay safe you have a baby that needs you.

967. I hope that many investigators are investigating Howard. Also all the accounts of Anna's should be audited. What a strange thing to happen, a young 20 year old man/son died of an overdose, just when he wanted to take over Howard's job and work for his mother. Just when he was ready to hire a private investigator to investigate Howard, as soon as he got some money. And then the mother dies shortly after that of a drug overdose. Hmmmm.

If he would have cared for Dannielynn he would not have watched her mother die and Daniel would still be here too. How do you know Dannielynn wasnt next.??

969. I loved Anna. Im happy for both Larry and DannieLynn now. But am I the only one that has "thought" that mabey Anna might had left Larry because he's gay? It just seems this might be a closet secret that comes out-look for this. It's came out in some blogs and he does seem a litte bit .....well, you know.

970. I have read many of these entries and have been disappointed that no one has mentioned the one thing that has struck me about Larry Birkhead is his extreme classiness and grace under fire. From the very beginning of all this circus, every time each of the players was interviewed, all but Larry (including his sleazy ex attorney) were in it for the money or the fame or both except for Larry. He truly seemed appalled at the publicity, saddened at the loss of Anna Nicole, and interested only in the welfare of his daughter and in obtaining custody of his daughter. At the funeral, his remarks were classy and understated and were not aimed at making his case, unlike HKSterns. His relationship with HKStern has also seemingly been forged only in the best interest of a smooth transition for Daniellynn so that she isn't traumatized for life by an abrupt change in caregivers (something that can cause Attachment disorder at this critical age). I hope he triumphs over his ex attorney, triumphs over Virgie Arthur, and is able to enjoy as much of a normal life with his daughter as will be possible given their celebrity. And who gives a damn how much money he makes or where it comes from ... more power to him if he is able to accumulate funds now to support her later -- it isn't hurting a small baby to have pictures taken of her, as she is unaware of what is going on. Good luck, Larry -- from the moment I saw a picture of that baby I knew she was yours and that the DNA tests would prove it as she has your eyes. I hope you can help her understand that her mother was very mixed up but would have loved her if she had lived, and I hope that the media will leave you alone enough for you to be able to give that sweet thing a normal life.
