Eve Charged with DUI

Rapper Eve has been officially charged with driving under the influence, stemming from a late night car accident in Los Angeles last week.

As TMZ first reported, Eve (whose real name is Eve Jihan Jeffers) was arrested after she crashed her gold Maserati into the center divider on Hollywood Blvd. around 2:45 AM. Police sources told TMZ that her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit. Prosecutors also charged her with failing to provide proof of insurance.

Eve's due back in court on May 17. If convicted, the former Ruff Ryder could face a minimum $1,000 fine and a maximum of six months in jail.

17. Yea what's up with that? All celebrities are getting DUI lately. Do they really think that they are above the law? I mean how ignorant can you be. You are under the publics eye. Have some respect for yourself and the decency to be a rolemodel.

20. #22, unless you have seen Eve using coke, keep her name out your mouth. That is how rumors are started. If you did not see it with your own eyes, it is a rumor. Your friends credibility are probably as good as yours.

#23, did you even graduate form elementary school? You lack intelligence and integrity. Community colleges have ESL classes for people such as yourself. You are a disgrace to human kind.

The topic is celebrities getting away with d.u.i. charges. My honest opinion is that money talks and b.s. walks. They most likely will be sentenced to six months of a continuence without a finding. That is unsupervised probation and if you do not get in any trouble during that time, your case will be dismissed. You should not drink and drive yet you should not be ignorant about the situation.
