106. if i was a.b. and neither one of them would talk to me i wouldnt talk to them either. and to try to write books on fathers rights for something to do. I got news for a.b. if you want something to do GO ON WITH YOUR LIFE for something to do. No one is liked by everybody some people arent liked by anyone. You have to like and worry about yourself. When your daughter wants money or wants to complain about her mothers strict rules she will look you up. Get a dog be a scout leader be a room father be a camp counselor or take your nephew or niece to the library. But stop talking to a dead phone line have a little respect for your self your too desperate. People can tell that and they love to play you just like a violin.

109. These two are both the ADULTS. I've seen both sides of similar situations, and they're both wrong. I see exactly how this can, and often does, happen. Kim and Alex both need to grow up and deal with it and BOTH of them leave their daughter out of the middle. Their horribly self-centered behavior is doing lasting damage to that precious child. I hope they are both ordered to seek therapy, alone and with their child. Shame on those two!

112. my honest opinion, it both their a$$es need to be in parenting classes. and they BOTH need to be investigated by child services.

When you are a parent 99% of the time, if something like this happens and a child and the parents are behaving this way, its ALL parties involved

As a mother who has two grown children who have been abused in this very same way by a man of similar temperament and equal talent for turning his abusive behavior into something that was my fault, and my children's fault, I am glad for Ireland and Ms. Basinger. I had little means at the time to extend the kind of protection Ms. Basinger has been able to render herself and her child. If I had, my children would not bear the painful scars of that abuse. God bless you Ms. Basinger. I wish you and your daughter the very best and know through the love that you and your daughter have for each other, you will begin to live lives free of the terror you have had to endure.

116. DonnaW...why do you keep repeating the same posting? seems a little fishy to me...sure you're name is really donna?...you're either abused, living in the dark ages or maybe not all that bright? The kid is afraid of her "father". Any mother who would willingly force her child to stay with a man who has and will abuse them is pathetic. Do you know police have documented public verbal abuses by this jerk to his daughter? Hello?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 117. Any father who would speak to his daughter the way this so called "father" did - should have no rights until he admits he has a problem, seeks help and gets it. The View interview was nothing but BS... trying to save his career. Well, Alec, we all see through you! Poor Kim, she just wants her daugther and her to be rid of you.

118. Ok the tide has turned against Alec. He may not be the perfect dad, but I believe he and his daughter have some type of relationship. It will be some time before the daughter figures this out. Yet, Alec fell into the typical ex custody trap (learn from this guys). And now he is going to pay the price. Kim get full custody of their daughter and more time to work her magic on her.

But what is Kim's reasoning for keeping their daughter away from the grandparents? Why does Kim's own parents support Alec? Maybe the family / parents know more about this than we.

Only time will tell.....

120. Alec is more frustrated with the system than with his daughter. The system is antie man and that is a shame. I am a divorced woman with four children and I know what it is like to keep my children interested in both parents so that they are able to keep balance in their lives. Women hold children hostage in divorces, and that is a shame.

Women want equal rights but they are still treated with more respect in the court room than man. The justice system needs to see man as parents and not only monetary cows.

I have lost my pacience with my children from time to time reguarding comments they make about my divorce ....Alec is no different then Kim. There are three sides to the truth....His truth....Her truth......and the real truth.

I would be very interested in working with Alec's group to pass laws helping man get a fair chance in court reguarding custody or alimony.....

Shame on the american system
