Just because Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail, it doesn't mean she'll do the time. Because of overcrowding and other issues, L.A. inmates often get sprung early. 
Former "Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in the very same facility in which Paris is scheduled to do time for the very same offense -- probation violation over a DUI conviction. Rodriguez served a grand total of 2 hours before jail officials told her to get lost.

i dont understand this kind of person. she has enough money to pay a dozen chauffeurs. her family has access to a team of lawyers to explain the law to her. thats whats gets me. thats why i think they should throw the book at people who have all the money in the world to avoid a problem, but choose to drive drunk anyway.

Hopefully since it is the judge that .is responsible for the decision as to how long she stays in jail and not the attorneys she will have a harsher judge than Michelle did and will spend the 45 days. Hopefully the judge watched ET tonight and saw her driving again on her suspended liscense. Also she still has not signed up for the DUI class. Paris needs to pay the price for her recklessness.

I hope Rocky (Prosecutor) doesn't back down and refuses all plea bargains. You don't sentence someone for 45 days and they only serve 10. BS!!!! I dare her to drive one more time so they'll double her sentence to 90!

If there is a God up above, Paris will serve her entire time. She lied, her agent lied and her Mother acted like a bitch.
We cannot keep letting these Hollywood whores get off scott free. Any average person would serve the entire time and them some.

She is a nobody. What has she done to better our way of life. She is a bad example for young girls. Her name is Hilton that is her claim to fame. Really take a look at her. She became known because of a sex tape. She has no shame. Heck if I was a actor/actress I would question her fame. She can't act that is for sure. She is an example of what is wrong with our country. She doesn't really understand what a hard day on the job is really about. Just drink, party and drive drunk. She doesn't realize what dangers she could cause driving drunk. She should get 90 days. Her mom should too for the way she behaved in the courtroom. Shame on the Hiltons. I will never go to their Hotels again.

I guess in CA it's ok to play with lives, especially if you have $$$. Walk and drive at your own risk, safer to stay in your homes away from all the drunk drivers w/get out of jail free cards.

Drunk Driving is a serious and often fatal offense. Many times, the person doing the drinking and driving is the one who walks away alive leaving small children, and sometimes entire families DEAD! I think the judge should re-evaluate the 45 days he gave to Paris and make it 450 days!!!! Having money will not bring back someone's loved one if she kills them during one of her drunk excursions!

I think that her feeble excuse that she didn't know her lisence was suspended is just stupid. But in any case she signed a document stating that she understood that she couldn't drive. So wether she read that or not is entirely her fault and she should have to obey the laws just like every other person in this country.
And for her attourney to say that she shouldn't is pulling special priveledge, like she's above the law.
