According to Anna and Larry both, they broke up because Anna wanted Larry to buy her a particular pair of sunglasses and he refused. World class stuff.
The sunglasses also might have served as a subsitute icon for the Tiffany diamond wedding ring that Anna wanted Larry to buy her and he wouldn't/couldn't.
From what I can tell, Anna wanted to get married and Larry wasn't too enthused about marriage to Anna Nicole Smith. He was enthused, though, about being a father.
When Anna got mad, apparently she stayed mad and took revenge where she could. Story of her life. So you need to take another look at her relationship with Virgie, too. It obviously took very little for Vicky Lynn to go off in a snit.

17. Everyone who knows me knows I supported Howard from the get go. When he wanted Larry to have full custody, I thought that was right Larry is the dad, however, knowing about his past, watching the video of Anna telling ET Larry only wanted money and fame, and seeing Larry after 3 days with an infant in a different country and new nannies and Dannielynn not even settled and Larry cant wait to go out, screw you Larry and Howard if you don't want custody of the baby, give her to Virgie then. Hows that. I''m done. Virgie will now have my vote.

18. I love the way you people fawn over this guy like he's some injured little bird. Do any of you know anything about him other than he's "cute"? People are so quick to afix emotions based on appearances. I mean anyone who would go to bed with a drug-addled Nicole in the first place!

19. When fathers go to work, people don't say he's taking "me" time. He's going to earn a living to support the family. That's what Larry was doing. And since the Kentucky Derby is one of his big hometown events by which he has earned money in the past, it would be important for him to keep up his contacts there and do whatever work is available there, as in past years.
It's just unfortunate for the hate mongers that the Derby occurred the weekend after he returned home. Would have been better if it happened a few weeks or months down the road, just to give the meanies less ammo.
I read that Larry has been one of the selected professional photographers for the Derby in the past years.

23. We know your daughter was in safe and loving care while you were at the Kentucky Derby events, Larry Birkhead! The healthiest of parents create "balance" in their lives and you demonstrated the sign of a healthy parent who will create balance (whether you were there as a guest or on professional assignment). Your child is in the best hands of the three options which have been presented in this case, i.e. a loving and nurturing biological father who is growing (rapidly) into responsible parenting!
Larry Birkhead, we continue to support you on your journey and those of us with "minds of our own" do not believe the garbage on these blogging posts!

28. Beats me why people are so mean and hateful. It's Sunday. Some soul searching might be in order.
The "mansion" belongs to someone else, a friend, who offered it as a place for Larry and baby to stay when arriving in Louisville. It was nice of the owner to decorate a room as a nursery. Or perhaps the house already had a nursery that was rejuvenated for the new visitor. Larry does not own the house.
It's good he's got a place to go to get his thoughts together. The last several months have been spent with the issues of death and custody. Now he has to look ahead to returning to the Bahamas. There's a further custody hearing and an inquest into the death of Daniel. That's a lot to handle and think about.
Personally, I think Larry was an idiot to get messed up with Anna Nicole Smith, but apparently a lot of men fall into that category. Now what's done is done, and what he does in the future will be the defining factors in assessing his life, if it's anyone's business. While we're at it, let's assess everyone else's life who dares to comment on another human being's business. Me included. Yikes.
Paris Hilton just doesn't get it. I don't think jail will help her. An IQ test should be administered and made public so that the rest of us know how to react to her. I understand that she didn't make it through high school, having had the privilege of being sent to a variety of private high schools and being kicked out of them all. Her head's too small to house much of a brain.

30. I hope the baby likes her new nanny It seems she is the one who will always be with the baby. Larry didn't want the baby . He just wanted what the baby came with. What a loser. Poor Dannielynn ripped from the man who loved her and protected her and ends up with that as a father. You see what money did for her. Nothing. She will be raised by nannies and never have a mother's love. As for her new real father. Grow up. Get out of the media. Stop suing, Ashley Judd, Sharon Stone and Anna Nicole. Next you will be suing your own daughter for money.
