181. OMG -- all of you people are pathetic. Why are you so mean? Jealousy? Perhaps you should start judging yourselves through the same lense you judge Paris. Have you ever driven after more than 2 drinks? Did you consume alcohol before you were 21? I am certain many of you have broken similar crimes as her (even being selfish and self-serving at times) -- this sentence is overboard and you all would cry and scream and try to get out of it too. The difference is you could do in your anonymous worlds. Quit being the nasty Americans the rest of the world hates; have empathy for all people -- even thosemore fortunate and whose crimes are not so unlike yours.

182. Debbie F very sorry to hear about your daughter but overly punishing Paris Hilton is not fair justice especially when you have illegal aliens driving drunk and killing people and finding out it was their 2nd or 3 DUI. If these people had been jailed the first time their "victims" would still be alive.
Where you have selective application of the law eventually you will have anarchy.

183. to #6---what's the problem? She was driving drunk at 70 mph, no headlites (presumably so they wouldn't catch her)...been pulled over previously for driving with suspended liscense. Why would anyone be jealous of her?? She's obviously mentally challenged. If it was anyone else...NOT a celebrity...they'd be in there for ALOT longer than 45 days!

184. to 174, 75, and 76--
What is the problem? Just 'cos she's rich we should just let her do her own thing? Maybe even kill someone someday. But, hey, she's young...let her go. 45 days, even less with good behavior (HAH!! I can almost imagine that crying, screaming, fit throwing is "good behavior"!) is NOT a big sentence. If it had been a regular (NOT rich nor mentally challenged) person they'd be in jail ALOT longer than a measly 45 days. I can't believe there are people out there that STILL think she's being treated unjustly! I just hope that this time...she gets a roommate. 'Course the ROOMMATE will probably have to have therapy afterwards.

185. to 170---Sounds like a threat?! You threaten the judge, who obviously has more balls than the Sheriff's department, for doing what's right?! I can't understand you people...just 'cos she's a spoiled rich brat, who's obviously been taught that "it's ok to break the law 'cos we're rich and you can get away with it"!! And you guys think that's fine!! What if she kills someone one day 'cos she's never been taught to be responsible?!!! DRUNK DRIVING IS ILLEGAL... AND IT CAN KILL PEOPLE...but it's ok if you're rich...right? Just go out and kill as many people as you need to to enjoy life...that's ok for the rich??! That's just wrong. She's an American citizen...our laws apply to her too. If she doesn't like it...tough. I applaude the judge who had the kahunas to do the right thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

187. Since this Judge has made this case personal it seems. By over ruling the sheriffs department IN CHARGE of Paris after the ruling. I hope Karma affects his life as well. Maybe he can be hit by a drunk driver over the weekend. It just goes to show how divided we are as a national on many point of views. Many white trash not going anywhere with your lives see it as one way and others see there's. Yet, the Internet is where we all meet, lol. People see with such tunnel vision in this world. Some are slow incredibly slow in thinking it seems from wasting time reading in here. Your still stuck on this Judges ruling that your forgetting that she went to jail on that ruling. She was then in the jurisdiction of the Sheriffs department to in force that order. THEY HAVE THE RIGHTS TO HER AT THAT POINT. This is what's going back to court come monday. People of ALL WALKS of life are released early BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES everyday from over crowding. Parole violation is so low on the chart it warrants a week max based on how much it cost to in house those individuals. As many also know, a 45 day sentence is much longer than the "normal" time a judge will hand down. Thus once again showing that this "human" person we call judge is making it a "personal" matter because why? Well, look at his 15 minutes of fame. Bad press is good press and some fools will back his decisions. Hell, look at the total dumb ass we have as a President. Oh and by the way to all you Paris hatters. She never let herself out of jail the first time did she? So you as well are making it personal and should not pursue legal field. Stay in the trailer parks you are right now drinking your Milwaukee's Best..

189. This was a legal lynching by a clown of a judge seeking publicity. End result is a clear miscarriage of justice. Paris Hilton by all accounts has been treated much more harshly than other defendants in the Los Angeles court system, this is wrong period. The bloodthirsty response by those who are apparently jealous and envious of her wealth and fame is disgusting, exactly like a witch burning. You people should be ashamed.

191. A judge who put a young girl 45 days in jail for driving without licence, get standing ovations?? The Enron crockers deserve jail, people making bussines with the war in Iraq deserve jail, presidents getting a BJ from a 18 years old girl in the white house deserve jail,
I think this "judge" found a good way to belong to the rich and famous, putting a young girl in jail for driving without licence. and all America is proud about it. Ridiculous.
Judge Sauer represents in my eyes all our national bigottery. He is just a poor man, he will be weel know in the future as "the man who put Paris in jail". Very big deal for a judge. Michael Sauer shame to you.

192. Amen?

Are you people on Crack! This is the most senseless crap I've ever seen. Locking her up does nothing for anyone. A large fine to a childrens charity would make more sense. Instead everybody gets nothing. Waste of taxpayers money.
A standing ovation , Amen..........I'm going to be sick. You religous brainwashed knuckle heads. Take go take a course in religous history. I've never seen such hatred by the jealous have nots in my life. And another thing ALL RELIGION IS PHONY!!!!

193. For this judge to assign a much harsher sentence than the average citizen receives is indicative of a personal vendetta. However, at the end of the day, I think Paris will come out on top. That does not mean anyone should applaud the sadistic jerk that did this.

194. Hear to judge Michael T Sauer!!!!! Your a great Judge in my book!!!!
Poor baby Paris gets sent back to jail crying her eyes out in the back of a patrol car.
A Judge with Spine and back bone, he did not back down from his ruling and sent a message to theses stars that they have to obey the law just like anyone else! They break it they go to jail just like anyone else. She did the Crime she can do the time. Keep up the Great Work Judge Sauer!!!!
