76. Paris Hilton should have to do "hard" time just like anyone else; she thinks she is so sexy, she will find out what "sexy" is all about! Our adulation of celebrities is bringing this country down and ruining our youth.

77. The judge did the same thing that Judge Sheindlin did in Florida with Anna Nicole Smith. He did and said things to get media attention. This women while not liked by everyone, is not going to learn anything in Jail. He should have not been stupid enought to go with tryng to make his name famous and used some alternative measures to sentence Paris. If he did it, it would have shown his ability to apply justice fairly and properly (compentence). But he chose the attention route and disregarded his abilty to be compentent and proved to be inept.. Things like community service, or alternative sentence would have surfice. This judge is not any different then that police officer in Florida who slams a women over the trunk of her car to arrest her. They both want to prove who they are. Slamming the gavel to show his power when the mother tries to talk is also a mischaracter of a fame thriving idiot of a so called judge. The administrative judge should remove him and let him rot in a lesser public eye courtroom. He is a disgrace to the bench and the honor that comes with the title. Total idiot. He shouldn't be reassigned to the bench when his time comes.

80. The judge did her a giant favor. Would it be better if we waited for her to plow into a car carrying a family of five and killing them all before we put her away. She and a lot of the other so-called "stars" need a serious wake up call. The perils of driving on our roads is tough enough when sober without adding alcohol or some other mind-altering substance into the mix. Hope she learns a lesson - doubt it though. She seems pretty self-centered.

82. Since Paris has fired her publicist, the PERFECT REPLACEMENT for him would be .....ta da.... HOWARD K. STERN!

He drives, too! And he could take care of Tinkerbell!

83. Amen #41
When are people(Paris) going to stand accountable for their wrong doings. You can't walk around with the excuse I just didn't know.Just as Lins low doesn't know, they all have money which they think it buys them the world. She won't serve all that time. She will probably serve one nite. just to get her in there then released for overcrowding.Paris and Linsdey both need to get real parents to parent them.they both are spoiled and think their above the LAW.I learned at a very young age that saying SORRY doesn't mean squat if you keep repeating it.

84. Great idea, Sauer for Governor and maybe even President!!

I hope Nicole Richie can join her friend, Paris. She (or they) should emulate Martha Stewart if she wants to have her summer free for beachgoing. Forget your appeal and go to jail PRIOR to the deadline. Just do your time and then you will be released in time for the beach.

It is too bad you weren't ordered to do community service, as well. You would be great picking up trash from the freeway or - by the grace of God- from the beach.

85. Judge Michael T. Sauer deserves a standing ovation. Not in the church, but in the streets. The sentence Ms. Hilton received is not harsh enough. For those bleeding hearts who would say otherwise; may you open your eyes and see that Justice validates grace. She broke the law and potentially endangered lives by driving while intoxicated in the first place. She was provided with the grace you call for by getting probation. She willfully, knowingly and defiantly disregarded that grace and broke the law again. She chose to abuse the grace that was given and now it is time to reap the consequences of the path she chose to walk. That is the beauty of justice, grace first, the freedom to choose that which we do along with the freedom to pay the consequences of our choice. She made her choice, finally there is a judge that will stand up, not for a legal system that is a respector of men, but for a system of justice that is blind to all but the truth and its application to the rule of law. Apart from justice, the grace that all deserve is negated and a cheap form of licentiousness is placed in its stead.

I pray that more judges will stand up and issue grace when warranted and justice when deserved. Ms. Hilton rejected grace and has now receive the justice that is warranted.

87. What's all this fuss about sending a sending to jail a "2 bit tramp" who has always taken full advantage of her grandfather's good name to defy the law ? Any other citizen, who did not have the benefit of money and power, would have been thrown in jail a long time ago.

As for those who accuse supporters of the jail sentence as being "Paris Hilton haters' let me ask them this,"What is there to like about her anyway ?"

88. I can't believe some people actually feel sympathy for Paris and think she is successful in life. Her father is the successful one, and all she did was grow up and piss away her father's hard earned cash on useless garbage. If it wasn't for her fathers money, Paris would be on a street corner somewhere in LA giving handjobs for food.
