Pennington Speaks After DUI Bust

Ty Pennnington TMZ broke the story that Ty Pennington was arrested Saturday night for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. Pennington has just issued the following statement:

"I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused."

33. Jeeeez Ty......what a moron.....I had a lot of respect for you, its gone. Didn't you learn ANYTHING doing that house for the lady who lost her son to a drunk driver? You can certainly afford to hire a Designated Driver if you just HAVE TO BE A DRUNK.

34. La Hilton is going to jail not for driving drunk but for driving without a license. She thought that because she is "La Hilton" she could piss on the law and do what she wanted. The first time she was stopped drunk, she was given a notice and let go. The second time she was told her license has been suspended and signed for it. Nevertheless, she as a spoiled brat continue driving without a license because she "La Hilton". Well, now she must pay for her bratnesss. Maybe this will send a message to all the other brats in Tinseltown that the law must be obeyed by ALL.

38. I don't know about you guys but each week, there seems to be a new story of so & so has been arrested on DUI charges. I makes me sick!! You would think that it would set in somewhere along the line especially with Lane's (Prison Break Guys) most recent troubles. Why can't these people wake up & smell the roses. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to drive under the influence. Your driver would be more than happy to excort your DUI butts home. That's what he get paid for!!!

39. ABC/Disney is going to drop TY now.. He had a cushy job and career. Disney will fire him. He seemed like a caring guy but as usual the celebrity's can't stay away from drugs or booze. I think he made enough money to call a taxi!!!

40. Thank you for not being like a well-known socialite whore who, when busted for drunk driving said it was "not a big deal." And apparently believing her own words, she refused to follow the law and will now serve 45 days in jail. (Oddly, her mother finds this outrageous; I wonder where mommy was when her little darling was headed down this path.)

Ty, the fact that you stood up places you miles ahead of so many celebrities of late. Carry on.

41. I'm just glad he was pulled over before anyone got hurt. We all make mistakes, it doesn't make it right, but this mistake could have been tragic. I believe he is sincere and realizes the severity of what he did.
