77. Who cares who is arrested for DUI. Everyone should get the same punishment no matter what your age, race, occupation is. There should be no special community service for those who have money to afford a high priced attorney. They all should lose their license forever and a public flogging like they do in Thailand. Remember a few years ago when they wanted to flog the teenager for graffity. Well if we had harsher punishment it would definately be a deterrant. If you are on Death Row then kill them in a week. Why waste OUR tax payer money.

78. Ty...I'm one of your biggest fans but am really disappointed that this has happened. Hope you'll learn a very valuable lesson from this and do something to make up for it. I'm sorry for what your going through but you made a huge mistake driving while drunk.

79. I love Ty, he is so sweet, compassionate and so cute, I wish him the best. The show would not be good without him, I know I wouldn't watch it without him on it.

80. I think its funny how all you people come on here and comment on how stupid everyone in Hollywood is for drinking and driving and getting a DUI. Like none of you have ever gotten a DUI or drove while you were intoxicated. I haven't gotten a DUI yet, but there were many many times that I should have. I got lucky. Now that I have kids, I can't take the chance of getting a DUI so I now choose to drink at home. Plus it is alot cheaper. My point is, who the hell are all of you to judge them? Just cause they make millions of dollars, have their faces on TV and in the movies, come from rich mommies and daddies, and have all the money to just throw around. I am sure many of you have a DUI or two under your belts. So I guess that makes them no different then you. If they are stupid then you are too.

81. All of you crybaby whiners out there groaning over Ty getting busted---- shut up.
You act as if all of you are perfect. Well- guess what?? get a grip...
Ty will get his just punishment- but it is going to be the punishment deemed fair by the judge.
None of you have any right to judge anyone else.
DUI is serious business and I am sure that Ty is feeling pretty bad right now.
But- he is also a good person.... he has done alot of good for many families.
It is not funny- it is sad.... drugs and alcohol are terrible vices to have..
Instead of crapping all over this man- why don't you try some empathy and support??
ng a t v star isn't so great as alot of pus people think, huh??

83. Goes to show police are doing their job and no-one is above the law.

Hopefully he's not using any sears Power Tools while under the influence.

He's made apologies to ABC and his design team what about Sears who he's a sponsor for, maybe he was still high and forgot them.

Maybe he should resort to driving a lawn mower instead of a car.

84. I think everyone in Hollywood is trying to "outdo" one another with this drunk driving thing. It sounds bizarre, but that's how Hollywood is. They think "if Paris Hilton can get arrested with a DUI, so can I, dammit!".

They love the publicity.

I always Ty was on coke, myself.

85. All you Americans have to stop putting these stars on petistools. You worship them like they were Gods holding on to every word as gospal truth and are shocked when they fall short . Wake up people this is part of the human condition. Sin.... Put your faith in the one who will never let you down. He is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. Let this be another lesson to all of you that worship the stars , they will all eventually fall out of the sky.. For all the believers out there you know what I mean..

86. We can only hope TY learns from his mistake and gets the help he needs. Just because regular peoples names don't make the tv news, doesn't mean they don't make the local papers, and yes, some do lose their jobs, ex: school bus drivers, cops, ETM workers. Making the local paper is embrassing to the whole family. I'm no saint but I do have 25 years of soberity under my belt, but only today counts. Rehab or 45 days in county jail won't help unless these celebs work the program, and records show they can't/don't. Ty will need more than 7 days to fix his problem, I hope he takes the right steps before he does injury/maim/ or kills someone or some family. Getting drunk and driving wasn't a bold move Ford Motors would be proud of him making, maybe they will pull their contract with the show

87. I don't understand why these stars with all this money......knowing they are going to be drinking, don't pay for someone else to drive them. Pretty sad!

88. I am so not surprised! This guy is such a dork, what about him do woman find so attractive? Personally, I think he is too darn weird, and I do not see why his so called "carpentry" skills are featured on tv and in his own line of furniture and junk.
