Paris WILL Do the Time

Paris HiltonParis Hilton could break out of her 45-day jail sentence six days ahead of schedule -- but only if she's on her best behavior. In other words, she MUST serve 39 days minimum, and there's no way out earlier.

TMZ has learned that Hilton is eligible for a "Good Time/Work Time" credit, a federal mandate which offers a chance to leave the joint early -- for inmates sentenced to 11 days or more. According to the mandate, every four days that an inmate spends behind bars "in an acceptable manner" will count as six. So, as long as Paris doesn't smuggle in a BlackBerry or stab a fellow inmate with a shank carved from a bar of soap -- she should be back at Hyde after just 39 orange jumpsuit-clad days!

Another way Hilton could be released sooner is if the jails became overcrowded in a short period of time due to a special circumstance, like a giant city-wide riot. A federal order would allow the most non-violent offenders to be released first to make room.

Police sources tell us that the Hollywood hills resident will enjoy a 24-person POD for "special needs inmates," and she'll be bunking with a fellow convict. Finally, being a socialite comes in handy!

The judge has ordered that the celebutante is to receive "no alternative sentencing," which means no work furlough, no home detention, and no city jail programs. And you thought being an heiress was easy.

Over here in Australia, the main Sydney jail has long been known among the inmates as "The Malabar Hilton" - ocean views, three good meals a day, and a good screw! [screw is slang for jail warden].

Perhaps Paris's jail should now be affectionately known as "The LA Century Hilton"?

This does reflect alot on her parents... this is a prime example of a child being raised by nannies (no offense to them). No respect. I think they her parents should have a sit down with Donald Trump, look at his kids...rescpectful, educated, hard working young adults. Donald was never afraid to take the money away and actually made his kids earn it as they grew up. Just another Anna Nicole Smith. -- What a waste of a pretty young girl.

We'll see if she serves any time. Her lawyer is planning to appeal. My ex got caught driving on a suspended license twice. The first time he spent 60 days, the second time almost a year. She deserved more. No one is above the law, not even the dumb blonde who doesn't know what "suspended license" means.

Paris will do jail time. 22 days for good behavior just because she showed up for her court date. What a joke! If she hadn't shown up, she would have been arrested. Too bad we have a system that caters to the wealthy. Did they read the reports from her psychiatrist to come to this decision. He's been stating that she's too distraught to even testify at the lawsuit trial that is supposed to be coming up soon because she's so upset about doing jail time. The entire thing is a bunch of phoey!! She needs to be treated like everyone else who breaks the law and drives under a suspended. Oh, she didn't know she wasn't supposed to drive? Do you think any judge in the land would listen to that if it was a nobody who used that excuse? Paris, be a real woman and take responsibility for your poor choices!
