Celebrity Justice
Paris WILL Do the Time

Paris HiltonParis Hilton could break out of her 45-day jail sentence six days ahead of schedule -- but only if she's on her best behavior. In other words, she MUST serve 39 days minimum, and there's no way out earlier.

TMZ has learned that Hilton is eligible for a "Good Time/Work Time" credit, a federal mandate which offers a chance to leave the joint early -- for inmates sentenced to 11 days or more. According to the mandate, every four days that an inmate spends behind bars "in an acceptable manner" will count as six. So, as long as Paris doesn't smuggle in a BlackBerry or stab a fellow inmate with a shank carved from a bar of soap -- she should be back at Hyde after just 39 orange jumpsuit-clad days!

Another way Hilton could be released sooner is if the jails became overcrowded in a short period of time due to a special circumstance, like a giant city-wide riot. A federal order would allow the most non-violent offenders to be released first to make room.

Police sources tell us that the Hollywood hills resident will enjoy a 24-person POD for "special needs inmates," and she'll be bunking with a fellow convict. Finally, being a socialite comes in handy!

The judge has ordered that the celebutante is to receive "no alternative sentencing," which means no work furlough, no home detention, and no city jail programs. And you thought being an heiress was easy.

17. AM SICK TO DEATH OF HEARING ABOUT THIS WORTHLESS POP TART WHO SEEMS TO HAVE NO REDEEMING CHARACTER AT ALL. SHE APPARENTLY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE ERROR OF HER WAYS OR IS TOO ARROGANT TO ADMIT THEM. MOST PEOPLE WOULD AT LEAST ADMIT THEIR WRONG DOING AND EXPRESS SOME REGRET FOR THEIR ACTIONS. NOT THIS BABE ... AND THAT IS WHAT INFURIATES THE PUBLIC. HER OUTRAGEOUS SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT WHICH IS REINFORCED BY HER EQUALLY ARROGANT PARENTS WHO NEED TO ATTEND PARENTING CLASSES.

19. Paris doesn't act normally in an 'acceptable manner'...or she wouldn't be in this mess she is in.
She needs to act like an adult for once, do the 45 days & GROW UP !
Whine whine whine....

21. I agree with Janice. You people really have so little responsibility in your lives that you have this much time to invest in hating someone YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW???? We all read tabloid websites and magazines for the entertainment involved, but you guys talk as though either a)everything you read in these tabloids is synonymous to the Bible or b)you have a personal vendetta against Paris Hilton because of some intimate experience you shared with her.

Whether or not this sentence is the best plan or even suffice for the crime committed, it's still just a minor driving offense. She's still just a person you don't know. Get over it.

22. It's about time a California judge, or any judge lately for that matter, shows some kahunas and looks beyond her 'celebrity' status and makes her pay for her actions just like any of us would have to. She's not being treated unfairly, she thumbed her nose at the law and this is what happens. Oh and Paris, IGNORANCE IS NOT BLISS. Ever heard that? Now you know!

KUDOS to you Your Honor!

23. She has maybe a year left with as much attention. She's overexposed. Look at how unlimited money in rearing her succeeded:

* Heir to massive fortune

* Dropped out of High School

* Later obtained GED

* No College degree at age 26

* Constant drinking and drug use

* Constant lack of morals

* Reliance on PR people for what to do

* Broke driving laws many times, was caught at least 3 times

* Now thinks she is being treated unfairly

* Parents spent a fortune with the wrong type of lawyer to get her off the charges

* She'll get out of this more popular than ever and then fall off over time, she is now vulnerable to the next big thing the media wants to focus on

* She won't age well / marry well / Mom well...unless she somehow starts waking up

26. Martha Stewart did her time with class. Let's see what happens to this pampered child. I was taught that a car is the same as a loaded gun. When you drive impaired, you could kill yourself and worse, someone else and have to live with that the rest of your life. Back in the day "entertainment persons" were kept under wraps. How special to see these less than entertaining persons air their laundry (would that be underpants?) in public. Opie and Anthony suggested using security camera film from prison as a reality show. That might perk up this publicity seeker. Paris Live and in Jail.

27. MAYBE IT TIME TO START A PETITION: MAKE PARIS DO THE TIME, SHE DID THE CRIME and all of us sign it.

28. And if you don't think this is all just a publicity stunt your not so bright either! The charges are realy...the cry baby act is getting all the attention....what else is new? The girl is a spoiled brat. "I don't read my mail, someone reads it for me" is not an excuse to ignore the law.

29. I can't believe this. She should be made to serve the entire sentence. She got off easy in the first place with only 45 days when it should have been 90.
She will never learn and will be back doing the same thing as before. I just pray that the next time she doesn't hurt someone in the process.

30. Paris. Paris, Honey, are you listening? Believe me, no one knows what will unfold down the road. Save your request for a pardon from the Governor! Don't waste it on this.
