Celebrity Justice
Paris WILL Do the Time

Paris HiltonParis Hilton could break out of her 45-day jail sentence six days ahead of schedule -- but only if she's on her best behavior. In other words, she MUST serve 39 days minimum, and there's no way out earlier.

TMZ has learned that Hilton is eligible for a "Good Time/Work Time" credit, a federal mandate which offers a chance to leave the joint early -- for inmates sentenced to 11 days or more. According to the mandate, every four days that an inmate spends behind bars "in an acceptable manner" will count as six. So, as long as Paris doesn't smuggle in a BlackBerry or stab a fellow inmate with a shank carved from a bar of soap -- she should be back at Hyde after just 39 orange jumpsuit-clad days!

Another way Hilton could be released sooner is if the jails became overcrowded in a short period of time due to a special circumstance, like a giant city-wide riot. A federal order would allow the most non-violent offenders to be released first to make room.

Police sources tell us that the Hollywood hills resident will enjoy a 24-person POD for "special needs inmates," and she'll be bunking with a fellow convict. Finally, being a socialite comes in handy!

The judge has ordered that the celebutante is to receive "no alternative sentencing," which means no work furlough, no home detention, and no city jail programs. And you thought being an heiress was easy.

46. If every four days served "in an acceptable manner" counts as six, then the time served would be thirty days not thirty-nine.

52. Omg ! whats wrong with these weird ass people who thinks its ok to break the law over and over again ? Paris just needs to stop her damn whinning and do her time and learn from it. Her parents suck they should have raised her better instead of allowing her to do what ever she wants. Now she hhas no morals,no respect,no common sense. I hope the governor dont give her a break on this much needed jail time. If anything he should recommend a longer sentence. The judge should have K. hilton crazy ass in jail for her outburst this family needs a reality check big time!!

54. They are making an example of her. I thinks they are 110% correct in saying she is getting ths treatment because of who she is!

There is no way she's getting out of this, I doubt she will even get out significanly early because of all the publicity. I doubt she asked Arnold Schwartznegger for a pardon either it just sounds ridiculous. Just adding to the story to make everyone hate her more and want to read more..making more money off her.

If I were her I would try now to behave like Martha Stewart and handle this as gracefully as possible. She will do fine. It might be a break for her not to have wear makeup and not do her hair and pretend all the time.

This is no publicity stunt and sending her to jail will probably won't have the effect the judge is looking for. I wouldn't be suprised if there was some type of corruption between the judge and the media and they are benefiting in some way from this.

The entire LA legal system seems to be corrupt. The media is out of control how can we believe this story in full. You know the truth is far from the picture they are painting. All this is out of context, only the select comments they want people to hear. This is for our entertainment and just look how everyone loves this stuff. We pay for it and they are dellivering.

She hasn't made the mistakes that many of the young people in America haven't made. If this was your daughter you wouldn't want this happening to her and most mothers would fight for their daughters. Even Anna Nicoles police mother turned her check the other way. Can you imagine having her for a daughter and being a police officer.

55. You people who want to see her thrown to the animals in LA County jail are sick.

I don't care for Paris Hilton either, but she didn't do anything to deserve to be sexually assaulted and brutalized by jailhouse animals who would love to get their hands on a white blond female.
