Lets Get This Party Started
Paris to Gov. Ahnuld: Pardon Me, Please!

Paris Hilton is begging the Governator to give her a break -- and is pleading with her fans to sign a petition asking for her pardon.

On her MySpace page this morning, she says her friend Joshua Capone started a petition, and asks that her fans "help and sihn [sic] it," adding, "I LOVE YOU ALL!!!" The petition takes the somewhat puzzling tack of pointing out that she's an heiress to the Hilton fortune, and that Paris "provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world."

Meanwhile, TMZ has confirmed that Paris met with her longtime rep Elliot Mintz, whom she fired over the weekend, and now Us Weekly is reporting that Mintz has been rehired by Hilton. Later yesterday, Paris was accompanied by Mintz to an event called, appropriately enough, Sober USA. An Us witness says though Paris "held it together" at the event, her eyes were tearing. (At right, the merry pranksters at www.prettyontheoutside.com have produced their own image of Paris in the clink.)

Rosie -- Getting a New $40 Million "View"?

Rosie O'Donnell is on the hunt for a new gig that gives her plenty of independence, but she might be dreaming if she thinks she'll get the $40 million she's looking for from a more traditional studio deal. According to Broadcasting and Cable, O'Donnell wants creative freedom over her new show, but she won't be able to get as much cash under that arrangement, says a mag source. One possibility is that she'll do a show on CBS and guest host on the Early Show. Another is that she'll land on FOX stations, but her recent bashing of FOX overlord Rupert Murdoch may have scuttled that plan. Still, as one exec explains, "she may be a polarizing figure, but if we can get 5%-10% of those who agree with her and a few of those who don't, we would have a hit."

It Takes a Village to Make Anna Nicole

Tonight's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" features an Anna Nicole-alike in its storyline, and according to the New York Post, it was no small task to get actress Kristy Swanson to do her best Anna. Despite the blonde and buxom Swanson's natural similarities to Anna, Law & Order producers used three hairdressers, three make-up artists, four wardrobe specialists, and a "host of grips, electrical technicians and production assistants" to get the look just right.

Party Favors: Usher -- the New Britney? ... Owen and Kate Get Dissed at Tom Ford ... Borat's Brother Composes for Kazakhstan

In one fell swoop, Usher Raymond has fired his mom (as his manager) and his publicist, according to the New York Daily News gossips. Both have been Usher's team since the beginning, but discord with Usher's fiancée is reportedly causing the first firing, and of the second, his newly ex-rep Simone Smalls says, "Change is good!" ... Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson tried to get into the new Tom Ford men's store in Manhattan just after closing time, reports Gatecrasher, but were frostily denied by the manager, who had to be gently reminded of their identity before letting them browse the store. ... Erran Baron Cohen, brother of Sacha, was chosen by none other than the West Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra to compose a piece for its big debut in London last Friday. Erran also composed the score for "Borat."

16. Like mother...like daughter, the apple don't fall far from the tree. Paris is a product of growing up rich and priviledged and with very little discipline and morals. It amazes me how she has reached STAR status; for doing what, having sex on tape, partying all night, using derogatory and insensitive language, being arrogant?

Paris is no different than you or me, she needs to learn how to obey the law just like all American citizens. I would appeal to all of America to just ignore Paris and maybe she'll go away.

17. Number 10 Sharon.
Roger Clemons has talent. O'Donnell has none.
But they both wear a jock strap and adjusts themselves equally.

My marine son has more decentsy, courageand integrity than that nasty woman has in her big head.People like her lose alot of fans airring their veiws to the public by insulting the veiwers They would be better off keeping their political veiws to them selvesSHUT THIS WOMAN UP FOR GOOD! It is bad enough the troops have to hear that alot of people do not support them100% Do not allow this woman to spew her hate,we do not need to hear it especially when I have to worry about my son to come out of this dead or alive, she complains so much about this country I wish she would go live in some other country.AMERICA does not need rosie and any one like herself.

19. If Josh's letter to the Gov wasn't so filled with inaccuracies it would be funny. He actually thinks she is getting 45 days for DU while all the others skated on it. Ummmmmm Josh, Paris skated on her DUI charge too. She was given 3 years probation, a suspended driver's license, alcohol classes and a fine. The only thing she did was pay the fine. She drove constantly, didn't sign up for the class and then to add insult to injury showed up for her probation hearing LATE. Judges don't care about your time but you had better care about theirs. And the fact that she didn't even read the plea deal she signed, didn't ask her attorney to clearify her driving suspension after a cop told her she was violiating her probation, didn't read the letter from the DMV which clearly stated WHEN she could drive again, and didn't bother to be not only on time but early for her hearing shows how little respect she gave this entire thing. She took it as a slap on the wrist instead of as a serious manner. Paris is lucky she didn't kill an innocent person or herself (ask John Hancock) when drinking and driving.

23. #26 You're bang on! Also, #28, the publicist was supposed to take the fall for her, but the plan didn't work with the judge. Now let's see what their money can fix while Mommy takes her shopping!

24. This petition is ludacris. If this were any other tax paying, hard working American they would find themselves in jail doing the time. Key word is HARD WORKING. It is unfortunate that parents who raise such spoiled children are not held accountable as well when their children break laws. Mother Hilton screams and rants of how "pathetic" this ruling is. She should have thought about her contribution to her problem child who is a product of who raised her. This is a classic example of how society has arrived with the problems they face today, especially with regard to our youth. Parents need to take back the control and discipline of their children and teach them responsibility again!
This country has GOT TO STOP giving anyone preferential treatment......regardless of status, money, fame, gender. I think it is appalling how the laws continue to change to fit certain people's needs/wants. If we had tougher first time offender penalties, it would help to deter unlawful behaviors a second time around, giving the offender the "fear of God" to ever consider trying it again.
I applaud this judge. I would agree with my son who said that Judge Sauer should have all celebrity cases brought to his courtroom. At least this man wants to uphold the law regardless of who the person is. Let's hope this will set a precedent over future cases for celebrities.

25. Arnold is probably laughing his a** off at Paris's petition for a pardon. Shes a lost cause and her parents need a reality check. Your daughter is nothing to be proud of. Shes done nothing but tried to make other peoples lifes miserable by demeaning them. She acts like a wanna be porno star and flaunts her drugs and alcohol use in front of the cameras because she knows Daddy & Mama have the attorneys to get her out of trouble. What if she had killed or hurt someone? bet they didnt think about that or probably didnt care. Personally I say send her into the facilty like a normal prisioner, she deserves no special treatment.

She is a freaking moron and so are all those who believe like her about 911 being done by our own Gov...You gus need some reality pills QUICK!

28. She's nothing more than a spoiled, racist, piss-pot!
I made my son go to court over a parking ticket, he waited more than 2 hours to see the judge, I would not pay the parking ticket for him so he had no choice but to tell the Judge, in front of the entire courtroom he couldn't pay the ticket. Yes, he was embarrassed but he's never been to court again!

29. Rehired my ass, we all know what/why that went on.

30. Has anyone started a petition to hold her accountable for her actions...in support of the jail sentence? We could get WAY more signatures than those "free Paris" idiots. Somebody start one, if there isn't one. Let's start signing and calling in support of the judge!!!
