Cameron Coos: "We're the Popular Kids!"

Click to return to TMZ.comCameron Diaz says that all the world's like high school -- and that celebs are the "popular kids" that everyone is just dying to know about. Good to know that Cam doesn't have a shrek of humility.

On the "Today" show this morning, Meredith Vieira just had to go there, asking Diaz what it was like to be on the same red carpet for the "Shrek the Third" premiere -- and share a kiss (on the cheek) with ex-beau and co-star Justin Timberlake. "We're friends, so we're OK," said Diaz. "All you want is that the person you care about to be happy ... It's like high school. We're like the popular kids. Everybody wants to know what happens to us."

...Until you reveal yourself to be just a little bit full of yourself.

16. She just bounced herself off my cool list for good. She should be friends with Paris. They seem to have a similiar value system regarding the little people. Too bad these ladies still think they're in highschool. At this stage in their lives I would suggest a private tutor. The truth is, in front of a highschool, most people would think they were the parents. Grow up and act your age madames.

17. I am absolutely dumbfounded why anyone (not on here of course) thinks she is pretty and/or great. She's got to be one of the UGLIEST actresses in H-town. Frankly, I credit JT with much better taste. She must've been slamming in bed for him to stay with her for so long.

I never liked her much before and dislike her even more now. Oh well, she'll get hers. I mean, she's a 30+ actress with no chance of getting married and having kids.

20. Wow! there are some nasty, judgemental folks posting here. Much like the high school kids who aren't so popular and like to 'dis' the popular ones!
Camryn is very candid much like Cher. Some people don't like that, especially in a woman. Re. her looks, I should be so 'ugly' and I suspect many of you too!

hmmm......funny how most actors growing up are basically insecure creatures that have to emulate others (perform) as someone else in order to simply "feel."

Give her a break; she only has herself to convince. Actors are all a wad of insecure bags of wind and they pay an entourage to tell the how wonderful they are. Must suck to not get out much. *L*

28. i think everyone bashing her here is REALLY overreacting. Why read about these celebrities if all you're going to do is rant about how awful they are? If you're so great and perfect, then why are you wasting your time reading about the lives of the rich and famous? Do you really need to put other people down to feel better about yourselves? I mean, I understand disliking someone, but saying things like "I think I'm going to be sick" and "I don't care if I never see her ugly face again?" I don't get it. Why bother reading celebrity news if the celebs make you want to retch? Grow up and find something that you enjoy, unless it is cutting other people down that gets you off.

30. You know it is so bad that a woman in her 30's talks as if she is still in high school. Popular, huh? Popularity is for followers and not leaders, see how many people listen to her and take her seriously when her communication skill is that of a talking 13 year old. It is pretty pathetic that her Narcissistic side rears it ugly head. Remember the people you step on to get to the place that you are at is the same people you will be facing when you are nobody. All her films have flopped and Shrek is her only movie that grossed any money really well, and as brutal and tough as the film industry is the only thing saving her is her "so called" looks. Give her time, her age will eventually catch up with her and see how many people will be calling?
