Paris -- Blame It on the Messenger?

TMZ has learned that Paris Hilton has seen a new lawyer in a desperate attempt to save her ass.

Hilton has already retained famed criminal defense lawyer Howard Weitzman. Yesterday, she met with celeb DUI lawyer Richard Hutton. TMZ spotted Hilton bawling as she drove away Hutton's office Tuesday afternoon, with mom Kathy driving -- and consoling -- her daughter.

Hilton is in a true pickle and it seems she's throwing a Hail Mary by going to Hutton, hoping she can convince the courts she shouldn't serve 45 days in the pokey. This could be the most expensive DUI case ever.

61. Dry it up! These people are pathetic. They have their windows rolled down for the world to see her crying. No sympathy here. She could have killed an innocent person while she was drinking and driving.

Get your facts straight. Oh yes folks go to jail for much less than that!! My daughter didn't pay a traffic ticket for an expired tag, a TRAFFIC TICKET!!!!, and her ass went to jail and she has no prior record.

Paris drove DRUNK and even after she got a DUI she drove again with no respect for the law and is claiming ignorance. If she would've have killed YOU or a family member of yours while under the influence, I think you'd change your tune. It makes no different who the person is and their status, SHE BROKE THE LAW multiple times. PERIOD.

68. OMG this is sooooo FAKE! She only did this (probably at the advice of her attorney and stupid ass mother) to gain public sympathy points. Isn't it odd that someone who constantly shields herself from the public eye and photographers, SUDDENLY drives with the windows down, where everyone can see her, and bawls like a little kid who didn't get the toy they wanted from the store? Boo freaking hoo. I give her 20 extra days in the slammer just for making me witness her nonsense. Dumb bitch.

74. What is the MATTER with you people? We are talking about a state where a judge let a CHILD MOLESTER avoid jail time, for fear his short size would make him unable to protect himself.
