Free Paris Protest Fizzles Big Time

Paris Hilton got a very public show of support this afternoon from some deeply concerned and passionate citizens of New York -- all three of them.

The well-publicized rally in Greenwich Village -- timed to coincide with New York University's graduation ceremonies -- fell just a little bit short of expectations, with just three protesters fighting the pro-Paris fight, calling her a victim and a martyr. They also carried signs saying "Ike Was Right -- Free Paris." Uh, that's Paris ... France, not Hilton, guys.

Our man on the scene noted an "Access Hollywood" reporter joked with other media types assembled for the action, "So you got all dressed up with nowhere to go." Sounds a little like Paris in a few short weeks.

91. Paris needs to get her a good Lawyer! The Judge was unfair Their are different levels of severity of punishment based on the severity of the offense; Usually it's the second offense that a person is required to do jail time NOT the frist. It is repeat DWI offenders that have to be checked to see if they have an Alcohol problem. The only thing that Paris should have to do is attend the alcohol safety school and obtain a substance abuse assessement prior to the reinstatement of her driving privileges. I think because she didn't do this it hurt her standing with the Judge and he gave her a harsh unfair punishment!

93. This is soooo ridiculous!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why Paris Hilton shouldn't go to jail. She has commited a crime that everyone else has to pay for. Why should it be any different because she is a celebrity?! I hate when celebrities thinks that they should get away because they are famous and have money. It's about time that Paris gets the opportunity to see real life. It's so right for her to go to jail and learn of her misstakes.

96. Looks like there are FOUR morons that need jobs! Hilton and her "supporters" should find more constructive thing to do with their time. What were these 3 smoking? Obviously, there wasn't too much for a 60's throw back to do that day in Greenwich. Victim? Chandra Levy was a victim and Joan of Arc was a martyr you ignorant twits! Not a self absorbed 26 year old trust fund baby who conducts her as a twelve year old. Do these people actually think that she give two turds about their well being of course not! And another thing, if Ms. Hilton is SO weathy what the f$%^ is she doing driving! Why doesn't she hire someone to drive her drunk ass around to the bars? I have trust fundie friends whom never drive themselves anywhere.

99. I thought "Free Paris" referred to the cost to sleep with her...

Anyway, I'm trying to combat those losers with a loser petition of my own to keep that spoiled brat locked up for the FULL 45 DAYS!

100. The reason I watch South Park is because Matt Stone & Trey Parker always exposed the celebrities they spoof for "WHO THEY REALLY ARE". They have an inside track because they are around these people and get to see how they really act. The episode where they spoofed PARIS HILTON was on TV last night. They did that episode early last year...maybe even two years ago, and EVERYTHING in the episode has come to be true about her. She totally proved them right. You want to know what a celebrity is REALLY LIKE??? Watch SOUTH PARK.

102. I think the sentence is probably more than the norm for that offense. But she is the poster child for naughtiness and earned her living that way in the Simple LIfe. With her close friend LIndsay Lohan allegely on a recent video snorting cocaine and Britney acting weird one wonders whether she is involved with other substances besides alcohol. If so jail will be a good rehab for her assuming she can't get any substances in there. So maybe there will be 45 days with no alcohol giving her body time to detoxify itself and on the way to be restored to health. This may be a blessing since she may have on the road to burnout like Lindsay Lohan. Good luck Paris on your cold turkey withdrawal from at least what we know to be is alcohol.

104. This is too funny! So people famous for being famous like Paris Hilton can drive drunk time after time and get off with a warning. And now she's asking the Governator to reduce her sentence. Where does she get off? She is so stupid for everything she has done! I hope she learns her lesson after 45 days in the slammer. Ha ha ha ha.

105. Those three people had to feel like complete idiots when they realized how alone they were. I have looked at the recent "Free Paris" petition and noted its under 700 signatures and compared it to the "Jail Paris" petition with its 20,000+ signatures. LOL!
