31. Okay, so let me get this straight... Akon is 100% at fault? And this girl dresses really questionably (they have a link to her myspace page). She got into a show that she was not old enough to go to, and won a dance contest (I'm sure she did a tap dance or possibly a waltz). She obviously had NEVER heard his music (someone on another board gave names of some of his songs, just by the titles you'd know that its not something a 15 year old should be going to). Now, the parents share SOME of the responsibility for her (same as PH)? No. The parents have ALL the responsibility for her, because she's a minor.

As far as being 15 and not being able to make clear, rational decisions, that's partly true. At 15, I am sure I wasn't making very rational decisions. Clear? Yes, I knew exactly what I was doing even if I was lying to my parents. This "young lady" probably was pretty proud of herself. When the video got out, it was probably all her parents.

Now if I don't agree with an artist, I won't go to their concerts, its as simple as that folks. People who go to an artist's concerts probably have a pretty good idea what they're in for. I wouldn't take my kids to (for example) a Gwar concert.

I'd say go look at her page, but they set it to private. Lol. Guess that was a little too embarassing for people trying to portray her as an innocent.

32. Ok. So I went to see it, not realizing that she had left a comment under a pic before I closed out her page. I went back two seconds later (she's online) and suddenly he page is private ! Somebody's daddy told her to close it up quick ! LOL. Perhaps she owes some folks an apology !

42. Akon is just as vile in his lyrics as actions on stage previously has displayed..participants may be willing but does that mean "you just do it ..because you can"? Just sad when entertainers have to add shock value to their appearances in order to sell tickets. What does that say to those that
support these subculture human beings?

Akon has had "wholesome" PR run ever since the "Who's Your Trinidaddy" appearance.
I would not believe anything that came out of that camp.

I am particulary amazed at how Idol has cast forth real talent to be nutured; and has in previous shows, taken over the audience and pushed the payola of "tune outlets" to the back burner, who no longer are dictating what a listener can hear or not hear..Idol gives the unknown a chance and now with the "band" Idol..your local favorite bands will be getting a break.

Then those like "Trinidaddy " will find their fans tuning in to the next Idol artists.

43. I work with kids like this and many of them act out sexually b/c of previous sexual abuse. For those who are calling her names, I hope that nobody ever calls any child you know names -- we are supposed to be helping them grow up, not pushing them further down. As for Akon, simulated sex probably isn't the best idea for a show, this being one of many reasons why.
