77. Kind of curious why the word "rape" keeps getting thrown around? If you've seen the video it's pretty obvious this is completely consensual, underage or not. I can't stand Akon's music, but everybody going to one of his shows knows what they're going to see. Don't like it, don't go. Considering what I've seen at soca fetes in the past (and I grew up in Canada) this was really tame, and the only reason it has been brought ot the public eye is because she ended up being underage.

79. Folks this crap was a set up. Trinidad is always sending out lottery letters and emails to get you to buy into their rip offs. Americans have fallen victim to their scams and have ended up with bank accounts emptied out, and some even dead. This was a set up by Trinidad Daddy, and Akon fell into the trap. Not to say a man is weak, don't matter if you're black or white, if you don't know it's a set up, you go a chasing. Maury Povich shows this happening to men all the time.

81. As someone with a 17 year old daughter, I blame the daughter. I have forbid my daughter to go places, only to find out after going to bed. She sneaks out the window. As soon as her dad goes on deployments, she always acts up. She knows the rules and breaks them. I am positive her parents set the rules and she lies about where she is going etc. Kids are UNGRATEFUL bastards. ahhahahahah just kidding. Happy Mothers Day.

82. This site is so racist. The promoters and club were supposed to be enforcing a strict 18 and over limit at the show. You have so many rockers-having sex, abusing animals and biting other guys tongues-that it seems a little imbalance to be blowing this Akon mess up to these limits. It is the fault of the club and promoters for letting under age people in the show.

87. For those that want to put all the blame on her parents because they should have somehow KNEW to stop her from being at the club let me point out a few things:
Her parents could very well have seen her leave the house in a sweatshirt to go to a friend's house to spend the night. A friend they thought she was safe with and therefore had no reason to question her whereabouts or attire. She learned to dance like that by watching cable, hello MTV/VH1, etc. My parents were in the "good Christian parents" category who did most everything right but I was set on being rebellious and doing what I wanted. I lied, I "spent the night" at a friends house, we lied to her grandma, snuck out to a club, blah blah blah. It happens. Parents can't always stop the kids. They have free will and a mind of their own. You people would be mad if you thought a kid was being brain-washed by some religious radical but you're equally pissed if you think that religious radical isn't being strict enough on their kid. Make up your mind! Maybe if our culture as a whole would clean up their act and standards our teens would have better choices and more of a chance.
