KY Restaurant Owner: O.J. Should Kill Lawsuit Plans

If O.J. Simpson tries to legally pursue the restaurant owner who banned him from his place, the Goldman family will have his back.

Kentucky restaurant owner Jeff Ruby was on "The Big Show With Steve Mason & John Ireland" on ESPN Radio last night, saying, "I got a phone call from the Goldman lawyers, and he's not going to be able to do this lawsuit anyway, because they've already taken preemptive action in case there is a claim." Ruby says any money Simpson might win would go to the Goldmans, who would then give it back to Ruby.

Simpson's attorney, Yale Galanter, said earlier this week that he feels the banishment was racially motivated and had nothing to with ex-football star being accused of murder. Galanter, according to the AP, said he would pursue the matter further and might try to go after the restaurant's liquor license.

Ruby would then have to again decide whether he wanted to serve the juice.

271. OJ needs to find a nice tall cliff and jump off it. His so called lawyer has alot of nerve trying to play the race card. The piece of !@#%* was denied his dinning experience because he is a murder plain and simple. Anyone that feels they need to hangout woth OJ must really be a piece of work themselves. It would be nice to see all establishments follow Mr. Ruby's example, I know I would if he came into by Buseness

272. I have never seen a jury verdict in this nation that has generated so much spite and hatefulness as OJ Simpson. Under our system of justice, you are supposed to be innocent until PROVEN guilty. OJ was never proven guilty in a court of law. And before you go saying he was "convicted" in a civil trial, remember all of the other stupid "awards" juries have made in those circuses, lest we forget the idiot who spilled coffee on their lap and walked away with millions, or the idiots who sue Kelloggs and other companies for merely advertising. Or how about the idiots who sued McDonald's because they got fat from eating too much crap?? Face it, the "civil" system in this country is a JOKE!!! As for Goldman, he needs to move on with his life. Even if he got all the money Bill Gates has x 10, NOTHING is ever going to bring Ron back. NOTHING. Also, why is his mouth the only one hollering??? Where's Nicole's family?? Where is Ron's mother?? This man has nothing mopre than a personal vendetta against OJ and its ridiculous. As for that idiot Jeff Ruby, I can assure him that I will NOT patronize his restaurant when I go to Louisville this summer for the Kentucky State Fair.

273. First, to post #14, blow it out your ass. And shove that race card up your ass. I'm sick of being accused of being a racist if I have any problems with a black person;s behavior.

Any restaurant can refuse service to anyone for any reason, except of course a purely racial situation. Any reason. Of course, if it does this willy-nilly, people will just stop coming to it. But ruby is in within his rights. I would have done the same.

And speaking of race, that's the only reason O.J. got out of a prison sentence!!!! His black peers refused to see the plain DNA evidence before them. Their refusing to convict him is RACISM, people!!!! That's what makes most white people sick about this. He did it. Everybody knows it, and he got off because black people refused to convict one of their own.

274. I can't believe there are still idiots that are defending this piece of crap! I applaud Mr. Ruby for his actions. Wish there were more like him around!

275. Hey Michigan, exactly what part of INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty do you nor understand? OJ was never PROVEN guilty in a court of law. Now that might have been because Marcia Clark couldn't prosecute a ham sandwich, much less a superstar, but the fact remains that INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty is the law of the land. Just because a "civil" jury tried to make OJ give Goldigger and cohorts $33 million does not mean OJ was guilty of anything. After all, the "civil" jury was mostly white. Therefore, spite may have played a gargantuan part in their "decision" regardless of what the truth actually was. OJ being denied service at a restaurant out of spite is wrong and should not be tolerated, much less condoned.
