Paris to Still Run with the Bulls?

Paris HiltonParis Hilton was supposed to kickoff a cross-country road race today, but sources tell TMZ she'll likely be a no-show.

Ms. Hilton is scheduled to participate in BullRun 2007, a race from Montreal to Key West, but a rep for the race now confirms to TMZ that jail-bound blonde will be chauffeured to and from destinations on the route, with the convicted socialite hosting a party at the Versace mansion in Miami.

Elliot Mintz cryptically tells TMZ that Paris "will be in L.A. this weekend," not Canada, so unless Hilton possesses the powers of Hiro Nakamura, it's safe to say the heiress won't be at the starting line.

16. What am I missing here? She has been out and about for days and nights cruising
around with her stereo blasting and now decides to keep a low profile? Even though
she will not be at the starting line in the "Bullrun 2007 Race, she will probably make
it by private jet to the party at the late Versace Home later, I am sure. She and her mother
Kathy need to take heed from some of the other celebrities and wealthy people and donate some time and effort in helping the less fortunate and the "victims of drunk and reckless" drivers. Yes, even though she pleaded down from drunk driving to a lesser charge of reckless driving, and her drivers license was re-instated in March maybe she is finally realizing that a "low profile and out of the "limelight" approach is the wisest thing. to do.

17. Drivers license reinstated in March? Is that a California thing -- written up twice for driving with a suspended license, sentenced to jail for that (on top of the prior reckless), and they then give the license back?

21. paris, thanks are in order to the paparrazzi for helping you to become the "star"that you are today... and are also responsible for the outrage people feel against you today...your constant camera-mugging and dog-n-pony shows that find their way to the public make for good reasons to resent you and your displayed perfomance (ala paparrazzi) of crocodile tears. stop already...take a big time out...go chill out somewhere for a couple of years, out of the lime-lite. mintz should have sent you away along time ago...do something that will benefit human kind everywhere and disappear.

23. I saw the news reports that kathy hilton was trying to set up book deals and interview deals for big $$ when parislut gets out of jail too. I just hope the inmates set her up with drugs or with a fight so that she has to serve a LONGER time. She deserves to be in jail until her bad attitude is completely and permanently adjusted. 45 days is sooooo not long enough for her to grow up.

25. Dear Paris,

I hope you don't have to go to jail. Maybe it will be full and there won't be any room for you.
You have millions of loyal fans who wish you the best.

28. I don't understand why some people feel sorry for her family! Have you seen and heard her ho-mama? Paris-ite is a product of the way she was raised!

29. I think Paris needs to understand that her image & public opinion changed when that porno hit the news & internet. Plus, the girl has issues to deal with besides her alcohol/drug use. She is 26 & should know right from wrong regarding her driving charges & probation. She is self centered, narcissistic, & immature for her age. And she is no way near a role model, its all about money & partying, posing for pictures, she is in her own world, for her it is 'all about me' attitude.
Dommick Dunne was on Larry King last night. He is good friends with the Hilton family. I found it to be honest & interesting. Even Dommick thinks Paris should go to jail.
Only time will tell if she ever grows-up & does something purposeful after she gets out of jail.

Below is from Larry King.

DOMINICK DUNNE, FRIEND OF HILTONS: I actually know Rick and Kathy and they're an incredibly nice couple. And you know the thing is, it's -- what nobody understands about it, as wild as Paris is and so forth and so forth, they are really a family. And you see it at Christmas time when they send the family Christmas card. There's two brothers in that family that you never hear anything about that totally stay out of the picture. So they are a unit.

And you know Paris has done a very stupid thing. And I think she should go to jail, by the way. And it's certainly not going to be 45 days because it just looks like rich kids stuff if you...

KING: How about some people trying to appeal right to the governor?

DUNNE: Well, I mean, it's...

KING: What do you make of all of these signatures asking for it?

DUNNE: Well, that's what I hear. I didn't know that until a little bit ago.

KING: Why do people like her?

DUNNE: She's an astonishing phenomenon. I mean...

KING: I know.

DUNNE: ...she earns a lot of money, you know. That's the thing. She earns something like $7 million to $10 million a year just by going to these openings and these parties. She charges for that. And she is...

KING: But what does she do?

DUNNE: Nothing.

KING: So she's famous for nothing?

DUNNE: Nothing, that's right. And you wonder, she's 26, now when she gets to be 30, is this going to still work? I don't think so.

KING: And you've covered famous people...

DUNNE: Lots of them.

KING: ...celebrities. You're the epitome of a celebrity coverer, if that's such a word. What do you make of this one?

DUNNE: Well, I mean, there's nobody like her. I mean, she's utter -- in fact, she's world famous. She is known all over the world. And it seems like she goes out every night and poses and does those poses. She's in a different dress. She's somebody that people talk about. And, you know, it's her own fault that she's in the trouble she's in.
