8.. Not being able to afford domestic help
9. being on a kmart budget.

34. I wrote to the Gov of Ca. I reminded him that giving Paris Hilton a pardon for breaking the law and putting the lives of others in jeopardy could be his political suicide. She deserves to sit in jail and then she can think about her attitude. Honestly, I don't think she can think because her brain functions are limited

35. she should serve the full 45 days period. she can afford a driver or at the very least cab fare. i'm grateful i'm not a sheep or a follower of such trash. how sad our world has become when people like paris hilton are idolized. everyone needs to give their heads a shake. what's next, idolizing rapists & pedophiles? where does the line get drawn? it's ok to idolize a diseased, self absorbed, whore that drinks & drives. ask yourself why? why would you think so highly of someone like paris? i can't think of one good reason. your life must be really empty when you have nothing better to do than worship someone that has done NOTHING for the good of mankind. seems that paris isn't the only idiot on the planet ,there's plenty of them, a dime a dozen, out there shoe shopping, desperate for attention. i pity them all & pray they don't breed.

40. It is an interesting commentary on our society when rich socialites like Paris Hilton cry about how unfair the system is when they are punished for blatantly violating the laws of our country yet herald the system when others are punished for the same. Paris Hilton is getting what she deserves. Kudos to the judge for not relenting to the expectations of a spoiled celebrity. While I, personally, do not think that the law should punish this type of offense with mandatory jail time, this is the current state of the law and, as such, must be enforced by judges. I once sat in a court and watched a judge sentence a young male latino to 3 years in county jail for multiple offenses of driving with a suspended driver's license. Paris Hilton better suck it up and thank her lucky stars that her probation violation did not come before Judge J. D. Lord! Enjoy the custody cookies Paris!

43. #34 I have to agree. Did you read the statement she released? Now whoever wrote it did a nice job. Nice job meaning it's more than obvious that Miss Hilton didn't write it In all of her interviews and other public appearances she has quite limited vocabulary - most of the times it'sonly - "That's hot". I wonder if that was her response to her jail sentence.....Either way I believe that young teens should not idolize person like Paris Hilton. Why? It's not because I would envy her anything. I just believe that if we want our society to last we need to look up to people that actually achieve something in their lives - and I doubt that partying, spending family fortune, making a sex tape and relying on a pretty face and famous name to get you out of trouble hardly qualifies for that. Let's just hope that jail might open her eyes and let her see that there is more to life than partying. Each and every one of us is lectured from birth about rules and laws and consequences coming from breaching these rules. In front of the God and law we all stand equal. Remember that......
