Riled Reese Shoos Away Lensmen

A pissy Miss Witherspoon had a missive for the paps who followed her on a shoe shopping trip with the kids this weekend: Back off, b**ches!

Impressively gripping two bags, two kids and a coffee drink in Brentwood, Reese went to pieces over the photographic attention on her children, Ava and Deacon.

Looks like little Ava is already a veteran of the snapperazzi, doing like Mom does; shielding her eyes from the encroaching cameras!

16. Oh God, if it wasn't for the public you wouldn't have to put up with this. Life goes by so fast you will look back and be telling your grandkids about all of the awards and lack of privacy you had. Oh those were the days.

17. I think it's terrible for the kids to be subjected to the leech paparrazi who have no lives at all. Then, you add the pictures with your smug stupid comments. I didn't come to your site to see if Reese Witherspoon went shopping. I wanted to see if you had any celebrity news. I think you all suck.

19. Paparazzi is one step above "crack-whore assistant" in world's worst jobs list.

20. This is a shame that they would photograph her kids, its one thing when she is alone but with her kids and she has her hands full and the flash must bother her eyes what if she fell with her son.

The only way we can do anything about this is to stop buy the magazines, and then the pictures stop selling.

24. While I agree that the paps have no business photographing the kids of these celebs, I have to say to the posters that are yelling "Leave the kids alone, they are entitled to their privacy, etc etc", that is all fine and dandy, but what about when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes kept baby Suri out of the spotlight for months? People weren't commending them for keeping her hidden, they were throwing stones at them, saying the kid was deformed, non-existent, etc. No one was saying "Good for them, shielding their kid away from these mosquitos (the paps). Now that it is a semi-normal star (ie, non-Scientologist or freak), everyone is screaming, "Stay away from the kids." "They didn't sign up for this." "Take a pic of Reese, but leave the kids alone."

As I said, I agree that the blood-thirsty photographers should not be chasing celebs when the kids are with them. It is wrong, etc., but we people sure don't seem to ignore the rags with the pics in them, or avoid articles containing their pics. We are usually ooohing and ahhhing over how cute they are, etc.

27. Do I think stars have a right to get angry when photographed, no! That is part of the game, but leave the children out of it, unless you ask and they say yes. These stars, male or female should have something that would blank out all of your films in the cameras when they have their children with them. I am sure there are such things, if not someone should invent it, they would get rich. Children should be off limits, in all ways, shape or forms. When Brooks 3 year old daughter knew the word paparazzi, that is going to far. Next time Reese, walk over and break their cameras when your kids are with you.

30. I beg to disagree with your comments. Reese and others are not continuously employed. They work a few times a year at most on film projects. The rest of the time is free basically. Many actors choose to live away from the Hollywood madness and fly in when they need to be on the set. There are many happy celebrities living in New England, the Mid West and even in small towns overseas. They can go about their business in relative privacy and lead "normal" lives. If you can't step outside with your kids, go to the supermarket, pick them up at school without hundreds of photographers swarming around you it's time to pack up and move!!
