Denise's rep told In Touch that the couple didn't want to make it public, "because they lived through public divorces and it was very painful."

Heather and Denise have tarnished Richie's impeccable reputation but he will rebound because he has his fans, family and the support of Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, and Tico Torres.
