Lets Get This Party Started
Oprah - I've Got "Good White Folks"

Oprah Winfrey wishes her beloved grandma was still around -- to see the "good white folks" that are under her domain.

The media queen told a group of graduates at the Howard University commencement Saturday that her grandmother's wish was that Oprah would someday work for some "good white folks." How the tables have turned, said Oprah, now that those "good white folks" are working for her. Oprah's grandma worked as a servant in Mississippi in the 1950s, and the younger Winfrey has often invoked her as an inspiration and a guiding force in her life.

Hoff – I Should've Used A Fork & Knife!

David Hasselhoff doesn't regret making that drunken video that was all over the Internet last week, but he is a bit disgusted by his own manners. "I wish I'd used a knife and fork to eat that [bleeping] burger," he tells Piers Morgan, Brit journo and the Hoff's "America's Got Talent" co-judge, via MSNBC. Morgan adds that the "Baywatch" star is "an insecure man who just wants to be loved." Hasselhoff, as we all know, was filmed by his daughter while he appeared to be in a drunken stupor in Las Vegas, and the tape was leaked to the media in the midst of Hoff's custody battle with wife Pamela Bach. Morgan adds that the Hoff has "a massive ego," and refers to his "Knight Rider" and huge-in-Germany days incessantly.

Paris to Serve in Pink Underwear?

Could this be the answer to Paris' prayers? The infamous "Sheriff Joe" Arpaio, who runs the controversial "Tent City" facility outside of Phoenix where inmates are forced to wear striped uniforms, pink underwear, and serve in chain gangs, says he's spoken to L.A. jail officials and offered to take Paris off their hands for her sentence. According to KTVK-TV in Phoenix, the Chief of Jails is actually considering the offer, because of severe overcrowding in his own facilities.

Michael Jackson's nephew Austin Brown is being groomed by the star choreographer of "Stomp the Yard" to be the next big thing, reports Chris Yandek of TheSportsInterview.com. David Scott tells Yandek that Brown is "incredible" and that they're working on "some stuff that's gonna hit the streets in a second." ... Whitney Houston is "straight as an arrow" according to her record label, refuting reports yesterday on FOX News that she seemed to be in an altered state at the big celeb party in the Bahamas last weekend. ... NBC left Donald Trump's "The Apprentice" off its fall schedule yesterday, though it reserved the right to bring back the show at some point later in the season.

91. I love Oprah! On her shows, she inspires people of all races. Just yesterday i saw her group of 50 women that went on a retreat with her, most of them were white. You gotta love a woman that makes white women cry on one day and pisses off white racist the next!

Life is good for Oprah Winfrey!

94. #96 I love the fact that Oprah has white people working for her too! The problem is, caucasians hate it and cry racist because she is black and you feel that this just shouldn't happen. Who's really the racist now?

95. Oprah, you're too big for your britches! You are a racist and a fat phony fake. This country would be in a lot better shape if blacks would stop the "slavery" whining and get on with making this country a better place for all. I've never owned a slave, so get off it and on with educating "your" people so they will be a productive part of this country. The opportunities are there! Oh, and teach them what causes pregnancy and how to prevent those numerous kids they can't afford to feed and clothe! Get some morals! Many of "your" people don't work because they can't pass a drug test. Yet they collect welfare to buy more drugs? That's deplorable! Why don't you hire more blacks???? Then you could take care of "your" people through emplyment opportunities! You need to explain your reasoning to "your" people!

96. monica

Why don't you ask Oprah why she doesn't hire more black people? Huh???

97. "Get Over Yourself"
I assure you that with a PHD, my brain is far from small. In America, we have the right to freedom of speech. Which includes thoughts, ideas and opinions. I am entitled to mine. You are entitled to yours. That doesn't make me "nothing" as you so aptly put it. When a blogger starts attacking someone personally, it's usually because they have nothing intelligent to say. I don't flip burgers and I don't live in a trailer. When you're ready to have an intelligent conversation, let the rest of us know.

98. monica, oprah would never hire you.

99. #4 and #5 - grow up and outta that syndrome, all the races are sick of hearing how poor you are still victims of slavery. Have you heard of the "native americans", aka, Indians? Hello! And "blah", I started dozing off part way towards your manifesto. The fact is Oprah is self-absorbed and thinks she is the second to walk on water. She is merely doing what most millionaires are doing, living it up and patting themselves on the back for it. Do you all remember Johnny Cash? Nothing was handed to him on a silver platter and didn't act like someone owed to him either. How about the Mexicans, Hispanics who are marching around in protest, I sure don't hear them whining the way our black community does. Grow up, move on and add to society and quit acting like the world owes you and when you make it big, it's because of you, you made it big.....get real. Oh and by the way, I don't see any Hispanics on Oprah's show since that police riot in Los Angeles....getting that community together and asking for apologies the way she did with Imus....what a hyprocrite.

100. I've had it with the race card, I've had it with it being acceptable for African Americans to use the n-wor, degrade women etc and THEN call Causcians racists when a term of the same nature comes out of their mouth. Oprah has for years criticzed white people, sayng they dont undertand this or that. To make acomment like she did is unacceptable, it would be unacceptable for a white person to say something like that about blacks!
Also, why is it OK for their to be ALL black colleges but not OK for their to be all white colleges?

All of this makes me sick. I am raising my child to look at people as human beings not worry about white, black, brown, purple etc. I am also raising him to look at all people as a communty rather than a black, hispanic, asian etc community FYI notice no one ever says a white community becuase that racist.
Stop with the race card, stop condeming white people all the time. Yes their are bad ones but there are bad blacks, asians, hispanics also. Does it really matter what color you are?

101. Lets be real about it shall we? If this is how you feel about black people, dont be a coward and hide behind your computer..I'm sure you know some black people...voice your opinions to them!!! Lol...I'm sure you wont becuase for one, you know that your wrong..and your comments are fueled by your jealousy.
Oprah's comments were not racist and you know it. Theres hope for you yet... Your trailer may not be as big as Oprah's mansion but, if you work hard like she did , you may one day be able to afford at least a double-wide...
KEEP HOPE ALIVE.

103. Oprah is ONE Black woman and certainly does not represent the attitude of the entire population of Blacks. But that she's extremely high profile does give her both the privilege and responsibility to get a grip on her often impulsively stupid comments. Oprah is so into 'self-improvement' I hope she realizes she needs to work on her racism problem.

I don't begrudge Oprah's success. It was almost inevitable considering her determination and flat out good timing. However, the Oprah Empire could be in shambles if she continues to believe she's the best example of how ~any~ woman should excel. Personally, I stopped watching her show because it became evident she was conning her audiences for her own personal profit and ego. (The sames goes for her pal, Dr. Phil, only he's even worse.)
Oprah is a simple-minded woman with a complicated empire. Those 'good white folks' of hers really have their work cut out for them now!

On a personal note, I'm a caucasian currently living amongst a populace that is approximately 50% white, 50% Black and Latino. Have I ever received a priceless education. Many of my own preconceived ideas and yes - prejudices - have lessened purely because they seem to not matter -- thanks in large part to the kids here that get along so well with each other. Yep, even the teenagers..that sorta surprised me. Now, if I had the choice to live in a larger white community, I would choose not to. Amazing, considering I was raised with such prejudice. We all need to stop listening to the instigators that love media attention and say things solely for the sake of keeping racism alive. Oprah made a huge fumble, imo. It was a careless remark and I hope she addresses that stupid remark although I seriously doubt she will.

105. I would like the AA to respond to this: If a white Celebraty were to say "I'v got good black folks". Tell me your honest opinion. Would you think this was a racist remark?
