Paris' Mom to Babwa -- Learn from Paris!

Click to return to TMZParis Hilton's mother Kathy took to the airwaves -- speaking through the oracle that is Barbara Walters on this morning's "The View" -- urging "young people who look up" to Paris to "learn" from her DUI arrest and impending imprisonment.

Babwa, friends with Kathy and husband "Ricky" for years, said she spoke to Mama Hilton yesterday, and read a brief statement from the convicted socialite's mom. "We can only hope that something positive will come out of this," said Walters for Kathy. "Hopefully the young people who look up to people like Paris can learn from this." Not to mention her videos.

Guest co-host, "D-lister" Kathy Griffin shot back at Babwa and the Hiltons, "If the 'Free Paris' T-shirts were more popular, she'd be singing a different tune."

16. This "Team Paris" person is a perfect example of what happens when you give a 11 yr old access to the internet.

Do us a favor little girl...go tell your mommy to stop using the PC as your babysitter.

17. Wow. Babwa really has lost all credibility as a real journalist.
Next we will have an "exclusive" interview of Paris coming from Babwa in which she will be able meet oh-so important goal of inducing celebrities to cry under her In-Depth, Hard-Hitting, analysis of the facts.
Next Babwa will have Paris as a guest panelist on her crap show.

NOW this is one pathetic kid, probably skipping school, flunking out of 7th grade for the fourth time .

PARIS HILTON IS BIGGER THAN JESUS! I WOULD DIE FOR YOU ------------------

Do you even know Jesus? Believe me, he knows you, he died for you and he sure "DON'T LIKE UGLY"

19. mom is making her rounds trying to get support and sympathy for her daughter. i dont blame her , but her entire family were in denial about her impending jail sentence. maybe the mom should learn and educate her own daughter

21. One only needs to watch The View to see that Barbara is losing it. She loses her notes, looks befuddled, and a while back did not even realize she was covered with confetti. Maybe its time for BW to retire and stop being a kiss ass for the Hilton Family.

27. At least 'Team Paris is first' finally learned how to spell 'representing'. Good for you.

Just because you are FORCED (mass marketing for a buck) to stare at something, doesn't mean you 'look up to it'. Case in point, Bjork's swan dress on that music awards show. LOL.

Lastly, for the 'Paris is bigger than Jesus' crowd, Jesus helps those who help themselves.LOL.

28. Babara W. let her daughter being tortured at CEDU many years back like the Hiltons let Paris being tortured by CEDU when she was about 17 years old.

What a sick country. Locking children up without a conviction.

At least Paris was convicted in a court of law this time. If it was the Jante-law she was convicted for or some technicality in her probation does not mean so much.

This time the decision to lock her up was done in a real court and that is an improvement in her life.

30. Hey - don't Bash Babwa. This DOES have a flavor of a bit of a witchhunt (lol) now, on the back of all the stupid, repeated and completely avoidable trouble this deluded girl has gotten herself into. A reporter's job is to at least try to bring a balanced view to the public; the public are then still allowed to draw their own conclusions. Even when it's ROFL.
