Britney Stops Wiggin' Out!

TMZ has learned that Britney Spears' new long blond locks aren't a wig. Stop the presses! She has new extensions!

A stylist from Heavener Salon in Lake Forest, Calif., tells TMZ she spent two entire days setting, matching and dyeing extensions for Britney's short hair. Spears added several inches to her dome, which is still only about an inch long.

According to our source, Britney is scheduled for another touch-up in just a few days, but Britney won't be going to the Orange Country store to get the work done -- the store will go to Britney.

We caught up with the wigged-out star outside of Millennium Dance Studios on Tuesday, and assumed she had one of those blond wigs on -- but no! She's for real-ish!

This may mark the end of the quirky wigs, fedoras and cowgirl hats that have marked Brit's return to the public eye, but who knows, she could shave 'em off again tomorrow.

62. This young woman has been through the ringer and back out again. Living a high profile life, 2 young children, and a failed marraige to boot, who wouldn't loose it. Setting aside the craziness in her life, at least she saught help and got it, and is trying to get her life back together, although, hanging out with people like Paris Hilton, or Lindsay Lohan "not" a good idea. Remember Britney, your not only a pop-star, but a mother of two. All you can do from here is pick yourself up, brush it off, and keep moving forward. I am sure that the future will be brighter for your career and your family. Not everyone in this world displays a negative attitude. Look for the positive!! God Bless!

63. The weave looks much better than most of us walking around out here. Brit doesn't look good bald, and wouldn't with short hair. I hope she will keep on trying and I personally feel kind of rotten the bad way I've talked about her. She's messed up her image, for sure, but damn, it's true, nothing she can do is going to be right in some people's eyes. I don't think I or anybody else out here could do much better with the vulture papparazzi tormenting her. I think we should go after them with our meanness and give her a chance to do better.

64. First her wigs were bad and CHristina Aguilera was wonderful. Now she ruined her hair with weaves and wore wigs for years to get healthy hair back. Britney can't win, can she?

66. I've watched her devotion to wigs and now a hair weave. It emphasizes that she lied, when she said she shaved her head because an aunt had had cancer. As long as she denies to herself that she has mental health issues that need treatment, her future and that of her kids are going to get more and more nasty.

She only agreed to rehab, because she thought it would give her positive media, after her girl gone whacko episodes. She comes out and parties and is pissed at those who wanted her to give rehab a real try. Guess she needs more humbling, before she's ready to be honest with herself.

71. These extension were poorly done. You can see her "real" hair poking out underneath the pieces. Whether it's Britney or whoever, it doesn't matter, that weave is just awful. The perioxide blonde coloring is just awful. Her best bet was to just leave it alone. Get some decent, high quality wigs or go with her natural hair and natural color and nurse it back to health.

it's good stuff.

as for her new hair extensions, i have to say they're not exactly fantastic. i agree with some of you on here, she should just wear her hair naturally and possibly a little stylized. and for gods sake, enough with the bleached blonde hair! it looks awful and you can even see big patches on her scalp that have yet to grow back hair, that's way disgusting if you ask me.

i truly feel sorry for her, with her money i'd hire the best hair stylist in the biz along with an assistant with some fashion sense. all in all though, i hope she pulls through this mess and eventually comes out looking decent again. we don't want another anna nicole :\

75. I kept hoping that the old Britney would return, but I have now given up. I don't understand how she can look at herself before and then look now and not realize she needs more help...emotionally and appearance wise. I guess she's gone though.
