46. 44. I would just like to remind all you naysayers who seem to have a hard on for Paris Hilton and have made comments about how she could've killed someone, that the operative word is COULD. Unfortunetaly there have been celebrities that HAVE killed people under the vehicular manslaughter statute in CA and they are not behind bars! Rebecca Gayheart being one of them! She killed a young boy walking home from school bc she couldnt be bothered to wait at a stop sign, sped up and ran a kid over in the cross walk. I dont see anyone boycotting that murderer or making slanderous remarks about her! What about Brandy? Just this year killing a man on the 405 bc she was not paying attention and driving like an asshole.

So all you morons who think Paris deserves what she got what about the REAL killers on the loose? you ok with that? YOu all should be ashamed of yourselves for wasting time commenting on a person you don't know you just THINK you know. Get a life! on Posted at 6:39AM May 18th 2007 by esquire

Before calling anyone a moron, get your facts straight. Brandy didn't kill a man on the 405 in CA. It was a woman who was a wife and mother. Also, no one is excusing their
( Brandi and Rebecca ) behavior and actions. Rebecca took responsilbilty and we'll just have to wait and see about Brandi.

As far as Boycotting: People are doing so because of the continuous disrespect and lack of resposibility by the Hiltons towards the laws of this country. There is not one person ( from the sewage cleaner to the White House ) who is above the law and anyone who breaks it should be made to pay the price for their actions. JAIL TIME!!!!

Now, if you choose not to boycott, well that's just fine. It's your choice and I respect that but do not call other people who choose to do so names. It's just plain childish.

Well I have to get to work now and I hope you have Fantastic Friday.

47. You know what really burns me is celebrities not accepting their responsibility. She broke the law any other person would have to do the 45 days in jail but NO not Paris just because she is a Hilton she thinks she can get away with it just because daddy has money big deal. My question is what would have happen if she killed someone wait I know the answer to that she woud just get community serivice. Paris grow up you broke the law you need to face the music. Do something right for a change stop being a little cry baby.

48. #45 You're right, I'm sorry I had my facts wrong and so now that changes EVERYTHING since it was a woman not a MAN like I had suggested. What was it you were saying about Rebecca Gayheart accepting responsibility? She paid for the boy's funeral, is that what we call taking responsibility? Is she serving a sentence in JAIL? Don't think so. No one is suggesting that Paris need not take responsibility but her sentencing was harsh. What about Rosario Dawson who last year was sentenced to 90 days in prison and served mere hours because of "overcrowding". Anyone who can afford a good lawyer gets what they pay for-welcome to the justice system- its always all about $$$. There is nothing new about this caste system we live in.

49. Listen, I'm no Paris fan. But she's a kid in an adult's body. She's led a sheltered life. My children have friends that are the same way. They are protected from society, and then once they reach the age of majority, and are unleashed into society, it's a free-for-all. Blame the parents for not properly equipping Paris with the tools that you and I take for granted.

We only know about Paris what the media has led us to believe. I bet she's a nice person whos public persona has been massaged and crafted by the very people who instruct her to "just sign here". Wrong people.

She made a mistake, people. get over it. Quit taking her inventory. Maybe Daddy took care of her other legal problems and that's why she responded to the judge in the manner she did. Maybe her attorney isn't as crafty as we are led attorneys should be. Do you think Paris had any idea what was going on? How can you expect someone to know something about which they know nothing about? How can yhou fail at something for which you've never been trained. Paris hasn't had much life training. Think about it.

And maybe she does deserve the 45 days. She didn't make a dent in her previous court ordered probation terms. I'm venturing to guess that if someone in her "camp" had enrolled her in alcohol information school, she wouldn't be looking at 45 days, if any time at all. She is surrounded by the wrong people. The wrong advisors. Everyone wants a piece of Paris.

Except Red Freckles. Here is someone who thought she would do a nice thing. And even is donating the proceeds to a worthy cause. is it PR? No. The scale is too small. Is shipping too much (see the comments)? You check UPS/FedEx/DHL rates. No one is making any money. And the bracelet is $5. C'mon people. No one's getting rich. And I would again venture to guess that those bracelets weren't produced overnight. This means that someone put up their own money, out of selflessness, to help someone else. And it doesn't matter that that someone else is Paris. So give Red Freckles a break. Save your rants for Craigslist.

In closing, I bet every reader (and I'd put money on it) knows someone who has been arrested for a DUI. Did you stone them as well? Or did maybe you search inside your heart for a fraction of compassion and consider that maybe that person silently is suffering. Alcohol is just a sympton, people. The true trouble lies within.

Take your own inventory.

50. I agree with the concerned citizen. Everyone's great at calling the kettle black, until it boils over on our own stove.

And I visited www.redfreckles.com. There is some delighful jewelry on that site. It all is custom made, by hand. My first thought was 'How kind this person must be to go out of her way to help someone she probably doesn't even know". Maybe red freckles life was touched by a tragic event that caused her to return to society what might have been taken from her.

Who knows.

I'm going to pray for Paris. And I'm going to support red freckles. I encourage anyone that has a conscience to support red freckles as well. Lets all buy a bracelet! We can make a difference.

51. I can't believe what I see!!! It is ridiculous! I am really hoping for justice. She has to go to jail. PERIOD! What she did was very wrong. The money doesn't make her a better person than us. We all have to pay for our ACTS, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE AND HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE, WRONG IS WRONG EVERYWHERE AND ANYTIME, NO EXCEPTION! I hope America will be fair this time! I really do!!!

52. Do you really think that #49 is for real? I mean come on now..SHE DROVE while DRUNK...Broke the law....play you pay!!!! PERIOD!!!! It is obvious to me that this individual has little or no respect for the law....what in the world does knowing someone with a DUI have to do with this...NOTHING!!!! If your chilldren or loved one was effected by a DRUNK driver...you would think differently....f@#$ Paris and redfreckles..this is strckly a money making scheme and anyone or any corp involved should be boycoted!!!!!

Blame her parents.???..people are responsible for their own actions....she is a fricken adult...ok just a boy toy but still....Grow up already.....

54. Damn she wasn't named LA Penitentiary for the feral

55. Wow. I hope no one buys these. How sad is it that people idolize her so much that they insist upon upholding her dillusional viewpoint that she has done nothing wrong. My Nana grew up without a father because some idiot decided there was nothing wrong with taking his truck out for a joy ride after downing a 5th of vodka. Do you know where he was going? ANOTHER BAR. Her original sentance was ONLY 45 days. She had plenty of opportunities to avoid this, she simply was too lazy to do so. Or perhaps she thought it would just disappear. I'm really tired of the uber rich and uber useless thinking they are better than the rest of us.

PARIS....(i'm sad that your name includes the capital of my Meme's birth country....)...suck it up and go to jail. Had you been "ordinary" you would have been in jail a long time ago.

56. With all the problems we face in this world-Paris Hilton going to jail should not be such a major news event.
Who cares really? Her parents......I'm sure. But c'mon.....the teeny boppers that she has as fans do not really have such a great example now do they. I'm so glad that the judge had the guts to go up against the Hiltons and do the right thing. How many times was she going to continue this before killing someone maybe even herself. Her parents should realize how lucky they are they they will have to visit her in her cell than at a cemetery.
I can't even afford to buy my two gorgeous girls that have a lot more sense, responsibility, beauty (inside and out) and respect for others cars but this spoiled brat has had such expensive cars handed to her and she doesn't even appreciate it.
I suppose we should blame her parents for not having her sport a chauffeaur to take her wherever she needs to go instead of driving.............future thought Hiltons.
But buying a bracelet to support her during this trying time?????????? Forget it. I'd rather spend $5.00 and get another flag to support the young men and women that are putting their lives on the line for all of us including that dingbat that is headed for jail!

58. I think Paris should be held in jail for a much longer time and i think her pal lindsay should be right along with her, considering her recent charges of DUI and coccain possession!!! I say send all of the Psycho celebrity coke head chicks to jail and make the world a better place!...and while you are at throw Nicole in there too!

Posted at 11:31AM on May 28th 2007 by jadeykqt

59. Support Paris? I don't think so! She broke the law and should be punished. Just because she is famous for being a slut she shouldn't get out of her punishment. She needs a wake up call and grow up!!! There are more important things we should be raising money for. Not some stupid girl that doesn't even work for the money she spends....she is a waste of oxygen!!

Posted at 11:30AM on May 28th 2007 by Heidi

60. Why should we save Paris out of all people? Just because she is a celebrity? What about the other people in jail? The normal people. She deserves to go to jail just as much as any normal person would if they committed her crime. What is up with todays world? All of the sudden, saving some self-centered rich girl who did absolutely nothing for anyone else from 2 weeks in jail is more important than saving normal people from cancer?

This is the most stupid thing ever!
