Mellow on out for your childs sake. It will take generations for most to re- learn the prefered word to use. Your not alone in this dilemma, many cultures face this and one must practice patience with those that have learned from days past or you must educate them with kindness. If that dont work then kick some ass. I learned in the 80's that "Midget" offended. Why does it take so darn long to get around? I dont know, frustrating I'm sure, but as I said you have a lot of company.
