Joe Francis to Candy: Back Off!!!

Joe Francis has fired back at Candy Spelling for the open letter posted this morning on TMZ. Francis is currently in Federal custody. Spelling's letter was read to Francis this morning by phone. Francis tells TMZ he wrote the response himself.

Dear Candy:

I don't know you, I have never met you and I don't know anything about you. After reading your letter posted on the internet, my mental picture of you is of a lonely old woman living in a mansion in Holmby Hills with let's say 300 cats jumping around, some in their own feces.

I have tried to think to myself what would compel a woman such as yourself to write a letter to someone they have never met? Even worse, you are making up your mind based on headlines. I can understand you writing Paris Hilton a letter out of care because as you said in your letter, you have known her most of her life. Then again, it's sad and pathetic you had the audacity to post that letter on the internet instead of just sending it to Paris personally.

Candy, you don't know any of the facts concerning my situation. I am a hardworking, compassionate and honest person. I will prevail just as I have in the past because overcoming adversity is not only a part of the entrepreneurial experience but a part of life. You should appreciate this and know this more than anyone and I am ashamed of you for forgetting how hard it is to make it in this world and the people who would love to tear you down because you have. Sadly, it appears you have become one of those people.

Contrary to what you have said in your letter, my world has not changed. My business Girls Gone Wild is thriving and posted record sales last month. Most important, my friends and my family (I love you guys....) have stood by me. This whole situation will be over soon and I will be standing strong.

I have never played a victim but I have always been a fighter. I will ultimately prevail in the matters at hand but I am concerned that you will die a lonely and unfulfilled person playing with those cats and posting open letters to people you have never met on the internet.

78. Whoever thinks Francis' reply couldn't be authentic because "there is no Internet in jail" is pretty clueless. Ever heard of an "attorney"?... As in "his attorney probably informed him of the letter and got his response."

84. He didn't write that letter, how could he have. One of his people wrote this. You don't really have a ton of opportunities for anything like this while in Jail. My sister is a criminal defense attorney and from she has told me Jail isn't really condusive to writing long well thought out rebuttal letters to online attacks.

Yes unless he dictated it to his lawyer over the phone and quickly they don't get a lot of time on the phone there is no way he wrote it. No cell phone, no internet, they have to wait in line to use a phone and they are timed. He may have had a meeting with his lawyer but it would also be SHORT.

I think the 94% Joe Francis is getting what he deserves poll on TMZ says it all. The man is the lowest form of life, a parasite, a maggot, a rapist scum bag. I would even bet money that some high ranking IRS agents may have had a daughter in a GGW video. They aren't stupid they waited until he was in jail for one offense when they nailed him for tax evasion. I hope they nail him to the floor. He has it coming.

86. Well what goes around comes around...I think you know this now...you messed up and now you have to pay for it...but for Candy to write letters to people she does not know...is...well weird! She needs to step back and see what she has done in her past. Nobidy is perfect by any means and everyone makes mistakes. Some are greater then others...but hey guess what!? They are still mistakes! Like I stated in her letter to you is..."Who do you think you are to give unwanted advice to people you don't know or maybe do know...its still unwanted advice". step back and look at your actions in life with daughter Tori. You messed up...deal with that and focus on your family...or tell it to your gardner or pool boy! at least they get paid to listen to you ramble! good for you to step up and talk back! and for everyone else saying what you do is shameful...well I don't see you holding a gun to all those drunk trashy girls head to show their stuff. Word of advice to them.. "Don't drink so much that you turn into a slut"! and then regret it the next morning or when you are a Doctor!! Candy's point: Karma is a bitch. Learn and grow from this and that means not feeling sorry for yourself and taking some responsibility.
Joe's point: You are older than me and scolding me, so I will call you a cat lady and feel even more sorry for myself because you "have never met me."

His point about overcoming adversity sounds great, but part of what he has to overcome is people like Candy judging him. So get over it, Joe.

Joe Francis films (exploits) *minor* girls while they are intoxicated, and then profits from their embarrassment. Then, he has the nerve to greedily hang onto those ill-gained profits and not even pay taxes on them.

88. I hate cats, but I would rather be in a room full of them then be in jail which is where Joe Francis is.... (and belongs)
Many people in Hollywood are your friends because you have a plane or because you buy them things, etc... even those that have fame and money because there is always someone with more.
Many have been "friends" with Joe for those and other not genuine reasons but that isn't friendship. It is fake, Hollywod B.S. A real friend would not stand by while you wasted your life doing a massive amount of drugs and having sex with unerage girls.

I saw the video of Joe, Paris and their "friends" doing tons of cocaine as he totally sexually violated a blank/expressionless Paris. She seemed dead inside, souless and sad as he laughed while having someone video tape it. Made me so sad for these people that this is their idea of fun.

In the end, we all have to live with ourselves. When we go to sleep at night, we are alone with our thoughts and I would hate to have the thoughts Joe has in his head, that is for sure. He can pretend he is so smart and such an amazing businessman, but he knows inside what he really is and even with all of the drugs he takes, he can't always fool himself. He isn't above the law, he is in jail. We aren't. I get to drive my regular car and do my regular errands while he sits in his cell thinking about where he is and how he got there.

You're pretty clueless if you think his lawyer allowed him to write this! When he gets convicted of tax evasion the federal prosecutor will use this as evidence in sentencing to show how little remorse he has. I think they want 100 years or something. Lawyers almost never let their clients comment to the press for reasons exactly like this and they would never knowingly let him comment to a gossip page. If they did, they should be disbarred.
