A sweltering Stevie Nicks still managed to perform -- despite nearly being asphyxiated underneath a landslide of crushed velvet, leather and lace! Stand back!!

Stevie kicked off her summer tour in Concord, Calif. on Thursday, dressed like an intergalactic extra from "X-Men" meets a high priestess at an Alaskan seance. You see your gypsy!

If the lavishly cocooned former Fleetwood Mac songstress doesn't want to collapse on tour, she'd better stop wearing everything in her closet at once!

77. Eve - you absolutely have the right to your opinion. It's not right, though, to launch personal attacks on the other commenters because they happen to like Stevie Nicks. Once you cross that boundary and write personal attacks that are B.S. because you have no idea what people online look like, but you assume they are fat because they like a great 70's rock chick, then you are bound to evoke hostility and people who disregard your opinion. These people also have the right to their opinion without fearing personal attack. It's one of the rules of functional and civil communication. That's how another poster knew to tell you to grow up.

80. Stevie Nicks is one of a kind. She has always gained and lost weight - just like most of us. Only difference with her and you - you are not a prolific song writer. Look at your role models - they not only lip sink but do not even write their own songs with the exception of Sheryl Crow. She is not only beautiful at 59 - but she is an inspriation to everyone who has every listened to her music. By they way she has a new album out about every 2 years
not since th 60s. You keep rockin to Britney and Paris - I will stick with Stevie - We love you Stevie.

These 'special needs' people get sooooo unhinged at anyone who dares pick on their precious bloated coke-head .

88. At 59, Stevie Nicks has proven herself a prolific poet, singer and humanitarian. She is adored, beautiful and successful. Stevie is unique and genuine. I just returned from the Red Rocks, Stevie gave a great show. I hope she goes on forever, she's that good!!!

90. The Concord show was freezing, therefore the extra clothes. Also, she has slimmed down a lot... a photo of her in thick layers is not a fair way to assess her. Finally, she is a major talent and an inspiration - not a lip-syncing airhead.
