2. Why in hell would someone with the stature of Paul McCartney appear on American Idol of all places? Give me a break. AI is lucky they were able to lure their former winners back to that joke of a show.

37. 28. If his ex wife, ugly Heather Mills was there, then he should not have gone anywhere she is. Paul was a great husband and dad and he married a low life tramp out for his money with an ugly smile and face add to that one leg, and he made her a princess with big bucks. I'd never want to see her if I were him.. and I wasn't married to her.. I never want to see her ugly lyging face again. PAUL IS A GOOD MAN AND DAD AND HUSBAND... if she was there or going to be there .. no one should invite him to suffer being around Mills mania.

Oh Booo Hoooooo Sir Paul was not there - for Gawds sake it was an 8 hour live broadcast if I were him I would be a no show as well....... 8 hours just how pathetic is that stringing a tv show with a bunch of singers out that long and then trotting out long forgotten stars out of a broom closet to say what - its a great show / they can sing / everyone loves it - welll DUHHHHHHHHHHHH talk about playing to a dumb audience, what next a season of children's programs designed for adults. !
Sir Paul always turns up if hes agreed to it, the man has already paid his dues and contributed BIG time to the world of music - Lady Heather just rode on his coat tails and only wanted the money and fame...... her contribution was and still is - less than zero.

40. What better way to promote a June 5th release of a new album.... Paul missed an excellent opportunity to get the word out ot millions... would have been a great kick start!!!!.... Idol has been trying to do Beatle songs for years... Michael Jackson owns the rights to many of the Beatles songs.... Jacko is probably in need of money and lowered the royalties $$ fees on these songs....

44. paul has shown up for other crap shows so don't give me this 'he's too much of a dignified star' stuff. but there's definitely more to this idol-getting-beatle-rights-at-the-last-minute story that no one is investigating. it certainly would have been the perfect time for paul to at least do a walk-on to promote his latest product... however, don't those old songs still belong to michael jackson / sony ?? c'mon you entertainment reporters, do some digging !
