Lets Get This Party Started
Did Rosie Leave Trail of Trash, 'Staches?

Wild Rosie Gallery: click to launch photosRosie O'Donnell may have burned whatever bridges she had at "The View," after her ballistic blowup with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, allegedly trashing her dressing room in anger.

And that's not all! Her chief writer, Janette Barber, reports Page Six, was escorted from ABC studios after she was caught drawing moustaches on photos of Elisabeth hanging around the building. Indeed, ABC confirmed to the Post that "photographs at 'The View's" offices were defaced," though it adds that Rosie wasn't around when it happened.

As for the dressing room meltdown, ABC denies it. Still, Rosie continues to be cryptic about whether she's coming back next week, with her latest blog posting saying, "There is a point u must step away from the canvas as the work is done."

Rosie to Leave "The View"

Rosie -- Breaking NewsABC has just announced that Rosie O'Donnell will not be back on "The View."

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:

"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."

Barbara Walters said: "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

For her part, Rosie said: "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

Britney Really Does Have Another Son!

For a while there, it looked like Britney's younger son Jayden James might turn out to be the Suri Cruise of 2007 -- the Incredible Invisible Infant. But just yesterday -- praise the Lord, ya'll -- the baby was seen (at least, we presume he was under that blanket), and of all things, the "Toxic" mama decided to take them out to sea!

Britney Spears, the boys and their trainwreck entourage went for a little cruise around Marina del Rey. Wearing multiple hats and outfits, including one hat better suited to Ted Knight on "Mary Tyler Moore," -- the sailing lipsyncher has now docked for your viewing pleasure -- in our seaworthy gallery!

Enjoy, y'all mateys!

Jessica – I Ignore My Fears

Jessica Simpson gallery: Click to launch photos
It's unclear what she's talking about, but Jessica Simpson has taken to the Internet airwaves to dispense some wisdom she gained while traveling in Europe for the Cannes film festival and elsewhere. She tells us on her personal website that she spent plenty of time in museums, and read about Michelangelo, which inspired her to write something that she herself reads over and over to "find new strength."

And it goes a little something like this: "Can facing our fear be what walks us to somewhere better? ... In my life, I ignore my fears too often, but then I'm left with nothing to challenge the best of me ... There is no discovery." After reading it over and over, and, again, we're not quite sure what she's talking about.

Paula Pussyfooting Around Dog-Breaks-Nose Story?

wacky-ass paula: click to launch photos
Did Paula Abdul's nose look suspiciously un-broken after her supposed trip and fall over her Chihuahua last weekend? Page Six thinks so, reporting that Paula's toying with the truth, and that what really happened was, according to their source, "She pitched a fit, threw something into a mirror or glass object, and a shard of glass struck her in the face." Ouch. Hence, it wasn't broken, and didn't look as swollen and out of joint as noses generally do. Paula's rep says the story is "absolutely, categorically untrue."

D.A. Won't Pull the Trigger on Ryan O'Neal

Ryan O'Neal
TMZ has learned that Ryan O'Neal will not face criminal prosecution for allegedly firing a gun during a late-night brawl with his son Griffin in February.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney claims there was "insufficient evidence to prove the case" against the 65-year-old actor, even after cops interviewed and re-interviewed several witnesses.

Ryan was arrested and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm after Griffin's girlfriend called 911. In February, O'Neal's attorney Mark Werksman told TMZ that Ryan was badly injured in the incident, after Griffin allegedly struck him with a fire poker. Ryan's lawyer also stated that the actor "fired a shot in warning, not in anger."

Ryan's rep, Neil Hassman, tells TMZ, "We're extremely happy that the D.A., after a thorough investigation, has come to learn what we've known all along. Ryan was defending himself and we knew that's what would come out."

Calls to Griffin's attorney, Gloria Allred, were not immediately returned.

Party Favors: Brangelina Makes Sly Getaway in Cannes ... Doc Martens Apologizes for Kurt Ads ... Could "Pirates" Make $200 Mil This Weekend?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- and Brad's castmates in "Ocean's 13" -- escaped the crush of post-premiere admirers by pulling, as FOX News reports, an elaborate bait-and-switch on partygoers in Cannes. ... Doc Martens is apologizing to Courtney Love for the ad it ran in a UK publication showing Kurt Cobain wearing its shoes in heaven, calling the ad "offensive" and "a mistake." ... The third "Pirates of the Caribbean" could be the first film to gross over $200 million over the Memorial Day weekend, say the people who watch -- and care about -- such things.

47. I used to love Rosie, but she has become unbearable! She doesnt act like a happy person, but a miserable, one. She makes big bucks, has a life partner she LOVES?, beautiful children, yet she is on the defensive, 27~7! What is she trying to prove? That she is a smartass? OK! WE AGREE! So rude, never lets anyone get a word in, folks dont argue with her, soon those watching will forget which one is the idiot! Rosie has what most of us can only dream of, and networks keep paying her more, STOP! She is the epitome of TRASH!

48. Brittney's second child....

Although I respect the pop culture keeping their children from being over-exposed to the media, does ANYONE suspect there is something wrong with her second child and, therefore, the reason she has acted in so many peculiar ways since his birth?

49. Please. Whatever happened to civility? There are so many more important and urgent matters ... a silly, personal feud is NOTHING compared to the state our world is in. Our poor country is in the saddest shape ever...not only in the Middle East but those who deny that global warming is a reality...What is it going to take for ALL of us to take a united stand and strive to solve the REAL problems, without the politicians or the rich or the stupid celebrities??? There is so much more to life and living. If the celebrities or the rich or the politicians want to smoke grass, do drugs, whatever...let them! Let them destroy THEMSELVES but NOT US! We have so many issues which are so much more imperative to take care of. Let's work on sollutions, people! Al Gore was so eloquent on Letterman last night and know what? HE MAKES SENSE!! I am sorry but glad that he did not "win?" the presidency! He is too decent a person to get involved in any more corruption than he has already faced!

52. rosie is the biggest dumbass I have ever watched on television. She makes excuses about her last tv show hitting rock bottom. it wasn't because of her kids the reason why she left.... HELLO!! She is a loud mouth and worst of all she is overweight. There are some big woman that are beautiful and she is giving plus sized women a bad rep.... Thank goodness she is leaving again!!!

53. If you believe what Rosie believes, why would you want to live here? Why not fly off to Cuba or Iran and make some big money hosting a TV show there. Just remember, every dead suicide bomber that kills himself in Iraq won't be trying to blow up the building you work in.

54. Think The view would be better off with Rosie gone adn and Elisabeth too!
never had care for Elisabeth from the start with her , shes a spoiled Brat

55. In my opinion, everyone is a little bit right and wrong, I don't feel like there is a black and white absolute to their conversation. I see why Rosie was hurt, I see why Elizabeth wouldn't want to respond to the question in a yes or no response. We need to forgive, because we sure want forgiveness. We are all human, although we react like porcupines (stick out our quills when we are hurt ~ our defense mechanism). The media is at fault ~ along with the us viewers, we act all upset by the way these people react, but we continue to watch it.... like a train wreck, we can't turn away. Although, like most normal people, we are sick to our stomach when there is so much bitter controversy ~ but we watch. In my opinion, Rosie is ‘extreme liberal', and Elizabeth is ‘extreme conservative'. The question is... are they really so unobjective that they can't see someone else's opinion.... or are the "powers that be" behind the cameras.... spurring this on?

56. why all of a sudden , after 8 years as VP, does al gore have all the answers. where were they than. thats normal demacrat action, don't fix wait to blame.

57. Although I do believe Rosie goes over the edge sometimes, I think it's good that she gets people to question the government and their motives/actions. After watching The View for some time now, I see Elisabeth as a puppet. She believes and defends every piece of mistruth that our moronic president spews. If this were a a Democrat running this "war" or not "war" (as we've been told in the past that the war is over, and "mission accomplished"), she would be jumping all over everything they said.

I think it's sad that everyone is stuck on party lines in present day society. Why not have a Democrat and Republican run together? Two middle-of-the-road candidates? I think it's bad to have a group of "yes men". Everyone needs someone with a different opinion to come to a compromise.

I hope Rosie stays on The View because instead of all the Paris Hilton stories, she brings up the issues we as patriotic Americans should be discussing. I support my troops, that's why I want them to come home.

58. Wake up people, this fight is as real as professional wrestling. The producers and ABC are laughing all the way to the bank.

Posted at 3:06PM on May 25th 2007 by Miki

59. Enough already!!!!!!!! What happened to the view that used to discuss legitimate subjects? There is nothing informative about people yelling at each other. Pleaseeeeeeeeee, get back to a non-feuding show. I am through watching until dignity returns. I haven't watched since Rosie came on, but, the news programs insist on showing how disfunctional the View has become.

60. For a change, Rosie was not shooting from the hip - compared to Elizabeth she was quiet as a church mouse. Elizabeth took it to an extreme and was the agitater. The previous days comments by Rosie had been deliberately distorted by the cable network commentators. If Elizabeth was unwilling or unable to understand the meaning of Rosie's words at that time - sitting inches away she is either willingly naive or truely without any perception.

What was she (Elizabeth) affraid of? She'd lose the conservative backing after Rosie left the show?

Her (Elizabeth's) remarks are often so ill informed it is a wonder other View regulars have not blasted a hole in her commentary.
