Lets Get This Party Started
Did Rosie Leave Trail of Trash, 'Staches?

Wild Rosie Gallery: click to launch photosRosie O'Donnell may have burned whatever bridges she had at "The View," after her ballistic blowup with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, allegedly trashing her dressing room in anger.

And that's not all! Her chief writer, Janette Barber, reports Page Six, was escorted from ABC studios after she was caught drawing moustaches on photos of Elisabeth hanging around the building. Indeed, ABC confirmed to the Post that "photographs at 'The View's" offices were defaced," though it adds that Rosie wasn't around when it happened.

As for the dressing room meltdown, ABC denies it. Still, Rosie continues to be cryptic about whether she's coming back next week, with her latest blog posting saying, "There is a point u must step away from the canvas as the work is done."

Rosie to Leave "The View"

Rosie -- Breaking NewsABC has just announced that Rosie O'Donnell will not be back on "The View."

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:

"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."

Barbara Walters said: "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

For her part, Rosie said: "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

Britney Really Does Have Another Son!

For a while there, it looked like Britney's younger son Jayden James might turn out to be the Suri Cruise of 2007 -- the Incredible Invisible Infant. But just yesterday -- praise the Lord, ya'll -- the baby was seen (at least, we presume he was under that blanket), and of all things, the "Toxic" mama decided to take them out to sea!

Britney Spears, the boys and their trainwreck entourage went for a little cruise around Marina del Rey. Wearing multiple hats and outfits, including one hat better suited to Ted Knight on "Mary Tyler Moore," -- the sailing lipsyncher has now docked for your viewing pleasure -- in our seaworthy gallery!

Enjoy, y'all mateys!

Jessica – I Ignore My Fears

Jessica Simpson gallery: Click to launch photos
It's unclear what she's talking about, but Jessica Simpson has taken to the Internet airwaves to dispense some wisdom she gained while traveling in Europe for the Cannes film festival and elsewhere. She tells us on her personal website that she spent plenty of time in museums, and read about Michelangelo, which inspired her to write something that she herself reads over and over to "find new strength."

And it goes a little something like this: "Can facing our fear be what walks us to somewhere better? ... In my life, I ignore my fears too often, but then I'm left with nothing to challenge the best of me ... There is no discovery." After reading it over and over, and, again, we're not quite sure what she's talking about.

Paula Pussyfooting Around Dog-Breaks-Nose Story?

wacky-ass paula: click to launch photos
Did Paula Abdul's nose look suspiciously un-broken after her supposed trip and fall over her Chihuahua last weekend? Page Six thinks so, reporting that Paula's toying with the truth, and that what really happened was, according to their source, "She pitched a fit, threw something into a mirror or glass object, and a shard of glass struck her in the face." Ouch. Hence, it wasn't broken, and didn't look as swollen and out of joint as noses generally do. Paula's rep says the story is "absolutely, categorically untrue."

D.A. Won't Pull the Trigger on Ryan O'Neal

Ryan O'Neal
TMZ has learned that Ryan O'Neal will not face criminal prosecution for allegedly firing a gun during a late-night brawl with his son Griffin in February.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney claims there was "insufficient evidence to prove the case" against the 65-year-old actor, even after cops interviewed and re-interviewed several witnesses.

Ryan was arrested and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm after Griffin's girlfriend called 911. In February, O'Neal's attorney Mark Werksman told TMZ that Ryan was badly injured in the incident, after Griffin allegedly struck him with a fire poker. Ryan's lawyer also stated that the actor "fired a shot in warning, not in anger."

Ryan's rep, Neil Hassman, tells TMZ, "We're extremely happy that the D.A., after a thorough investigation, has come to learn what we've known all along. Ryan was defending himself and we knew that's what would come out."

Calls to Griffin's attorney, Gloria Allred, were not immediately returned.

Party Favors: Brangelina Makes Sly Getaway in Cannes ... Doc Martens Apologizes for Kurt Ads ... Could "Pirates" Make $200 Mil This Weekend?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- and Brad's castmates in "Ocean's 13" -- escaped the crush of post-premiere admirers by pulling, as FOX News reports, an elaborate bait-and-switch on partygoers in Cannes. ... Doc Martens is apologizing to Courtney Love for the ad it ran in a UK publication showing Kurt Cobain wearing its shoes in heaven, calling the ad "offensive" and "a mistake." ... The third "Pirates of the Caribbean" could be the first film to gross over $200 million over the Memorial Day weekend, say the people who watch -- and care about -- such things.

991. I believe they are both wrong; they are grown women on national T.V. acting the way other countries see all of us American Women. I don't want to be put in the same category as those two women. I believe Elizebeth should be put on P.G. leave until she has her baby and replace her in the meantime you may come up with a better person. (She can't be that perfect)

993. I LOVE THE VIEW. I did feel Rosie made this season more interesting. But here's the sad part. Rosie and Elisabeth who both want our troops home, and the WAR to be over. Two adult women could not express their opinions without fighting. HOW SAD. IF WE CANNOT EVEN GET THAT RIGHT. I am dissapointed in both women. I am very proud of Joy and Sheri for trying to cool things off, and even trying to go to a commercail. Maybe if the station had done that, the argument would't have been let to get to the point it did. In my opinion, that is what hurt the show. And the future ratings will show that.

994. Why do some people talk about Rosie as if she were full of original, fresh, intelligent ideas? Everything she says I've read on ultra-leftwing liberal websites, or heard on liberal tv shows. Rosie has not uttered one original thought yet.

She takes her talking points straight from the liberals and George Soros-Mr.-I-hate-America-and-will-destroy-it.

Those of you who agree with Rosie's utterances tend to deify her way too much. You can find the same talk on liberal websites and you might even find a more pleasant person pushing the program, maybe. Maybe not.

Why is it that liberals profess to be so open-minded and generous yet are very mean-spirited towards those who hold opposing views? I'm a conservative Republican. I watch every person to see what they have to say. I acknowledge that they have the right to think and say what they like, even if I don't like.

I knew Rpsie was going to be a misfit on this show the moment I heard she was going on it. She is a solo act, not a team player. She's spent too many years being queen of the roost and acts as the man of her house. She cannot be a panelist.

Rosie was asked to leave early because the advertisers were very upset.

Her hairdresser who defaced Elisabeth's pictures is a representative of what Rosie and her gang are really like.

If the show is determined to take such a political bent, then they must put on an equal number of conservatives as liberals.

There are a lot of conservatives out there. Many of them are just not as loud as the liberals. Manners and all that stuff.

995. I am glad that rosie is getting off the view. The way she expresses her opinions drives me crazy, if it's not her way she will fight tooth and nail until it is her way. Thus it be easier to just give in to get her to go away is a great alternative but then she thinks she won. Kudos to Elisabeth for not taking her crap. Everyone is indeed welcome to their own opinion, but when you try to force someone to side with yours, tell them whats up and stand your ground.
I'm proud of Elisabeth.

996. I have always enjoyed the View. Before Rosie was on it and while she was on it. But what I really enjoyed while she was on it, was that there were discussions about important issues, not just Britney and Lindsey and all the other unimportant nonsense in the world. I was okay with Rosie having such strong convictions that leaned toward the left and with Elisabeth having the same, but leaninig toward the right. I fall somewhere in the middle; well, maybe a bit more toward the left. I believe myself to be an open minded person and as such, can make my mind up based upon the information I receive through the newspapers, news shows, the internet and from discussions with people with similiar and dissimiliar viewpoints.

I do feel that both Rosie and Elisabeth both let their personal emotions get in the way on a lot of discussions. To discuss differing viewpoints, one does not have to yell or point fingers. That is distracting and does a disservice to the viewer.

As far as the "fight" they had, well, I think a lot has been misunderstood. I think that when Rosie brought up the fact about how many Iraqi civilians had been killed and then asked "Who are the terrorists?"; it was a rhetorical question. Afterall, had any of us been born in Iraq, and were living there now, how would that change our viewpoint? Joy had been talking about how we, the U.S., might need to re-examine our foreign policy, in order to find a different way to interact with others so that there is not this need to go to war with another country that did not actually attack us.

What I got out of Rosie's comments was not that she thinks the U.S. soldiers are terrorists, but that perhaps to others, innocent civilans just like our families, they might have a hard time believing that.

We have been so lucky here the the United States that we have not seen wartime fighting on our soil like other countries have suffered. I don't think we can comprehend the destruction of one's home, town, cities and country and being helpless.

I would like to continue to watch the View; that is, if they add co-hosts that can make it a viable program again. I really don't want mouthpieces for one side or the other that just repeat the agenda. I want real people to have real discussions that make me wish I was at the table with them.
