Rosie to Leave "The View"

Rosie ABC has just announced that Rosie O'Donnell will not be back on "The View."

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:

"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."

Barbara Walters said: "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

For her part, Rosie said: "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

61. Rosie is such an angry, hateful, loud-mouthed, rude, crude, bitchy, & unhappy person. Does she ever shut up? She seems so full of hate. She could not possibly know peace in her life.
Elisabeth hang in there honey. You shouldn't blame yourself or take responsiblity for her behavior. You just happened to be there. Rosie is a train wreck. God help her.

62. I don't blame her! If I had to work with an IDIOT who was on a Reality Show every day, I would quit too. Too damn bad she didn't slap the hell out of Elisabeth before she left! I will NEVER watch that show again and it's not because Rosie is leaving. It is because I can't stand listening to the CRAP Elisabeth spews! I LOVE that the ratings will now be back to where they were bfore Rosie........IN THE GUTTER!

63. I have watched The View since the very first day and used to enjoy it very much, but in recent years, it seemed to become more of a screaming fest than a talk show with guests. Often times, the guests could not get a word in because the hosts were jumping all over their words and not letting them talk. I like varying opinions on every subject, and I like Rosie most of the time, but her inuendo about the sex she has with her partner Kelli is really too much info for morning television. Whomever takes Rosie's place does not need to be so controversal for the show to succeed.

If half of the conservative rant that Elizabeth Hassleback was spewing was eviscerated by the liberal press the way Rosie's views were by the conservative pundits, she would have quit or declared herself a "victim" of the liberal press a long time ago. Rosie states a point of view of questioning the party line handed down by the White House as well as the view that MOST of the troops dying are lower to middle class men and women and the FACT that the Iraquis are paying a high price for our invasion. She comes from a historical place of living during the Viet Nam war, something Ms. H is too young to remember. ANYONE who has come from that place will question today's policies---not just lock step with this administration. Rosie was a female and a lesbian--perfect fodder for the conservative white guys who ridicule her, but if she had balls they would have simply said she was "misguided." I will miss the ONLY informed liberal view I have heard on commercial television in the past ten years. Good luck, Rosie--you will be greatly missed.

67. I really liked Rosie, but I thought she was becoming such a drama queen, starting to pick fights over anything and everything. Standing up for yourself and what you believe in is admirable, but I think she is beginning to think that ONLY her opinions and thoughts can be considered the truth. Have lost a lot of respect for her, and don't think I'll be going out of my way to see or listen to her.

70. This is a sad day. Rosie was the only reason I watched the View. I applaud her courage for speaking out for what she believes in. I wish there were more strong female voices in the world. She will be missed!

72. Bye bye and good riddance. Barbara Walters lost all her credibility as a respectable t.v. journalist when she brought Rosie O. aboard. Elizabeth didn't do anything to get fired. Rosie was a time bomb just waiting to happen. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but Rosie always having something to say about everything just got too in your face. That saying, the View itself should be retired from the airwaves. It's an annoying program.
