Rosie to Leave "The View"

Rosie ABC has just announced that Rosie O'Donnell will not be back on "The View."

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:

"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."

Barbara Walters said: "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

For her part, Rosie said: "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

92. Is this Rosie's way of admitting Elizabeth was right?......Little Lizzy called her a "coward" and a "coward she has proven herself to be!.

Unless of course,her attack on Lizzy was a little over the top even for Rosie and Disney said" Enough you miserable witch......get OUT!"

99. What a shame, am truly disappointed, but not really surprised.
Rosie really had nothing to gain by staying and she's a passionate woman about what she believes. As she should be and has every right to be.
Rosie's mistake was not in saying and being who she is, but in expecting a 'on-air friend' that she just met when she came on the show to stand in defense of her.
Especially someone who is as passionate as E is about her stance on Iraq and the current situation there.
Friends come for a reason, a season or a lifetime....
She was never Rosie's friend and I can understand why Rosie reacted how she did when she expected an alliance from someone who called her 'friend'.
Unfortunately, Elizabeth is and has likely never been a 'friend'.

I'll miss you Ro...I'm glad I tuned in today to see what things were like and saw the outcome and final show with Rosie on. I look forward to seeing what the future brings for you and your family.

102. I feel really disappointed that Rosie will not return to The View. Rosie is the only reason I watch. I think the show will be like every other morning show that is a bit banal at best. II agree with Michele, like her or dislike her the spot will be ever so difficult to fill.
My prediction is that the show will last one more season then go caput.

It's about darn time!!!!

Now the show can continue to be a show of views not Rosie's own personal agenda show!

I for one am HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

I will now return to watch the view again. I'm still ashamed of Barbara for selling out for ratings, I use to respect her, but hey? what are you going to do. I'm sure Barb is happy too!

HORRAY! What a DAY FOR CELEBRATIONS! Now I know I'm going to have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!
