Mischa Barton Hospitalized

Mischa BartonTMZ has learned that actress Mischa Barton was rushed to the hospital this evening after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.

Sources tell TMZ that the former "OC" star was at a friend's Memorial Day BBQ enjoying a few holiday cocktails when she began to feel extremely ill. Mischa, who has been quite sick with bronchitis since traveling to Cannes, London and Paris the past several weeks, apparently didn't get the memo -- you can't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics!

The 21-year-old celeb was rushed to an undisclosed medical facility in Los Angeles, where we are told she is "resting comfortably."

A rep for Barton tells TMZ that the starlet is with family and "feeling much better."

46. I believe the story from the eye-witness. Cocaine, mushrooms and liquor. This girl is obviously depressed. Her family and friends need to get her help and get her out of our psychic space. She is a nothing who lucked out at one time. All these kids, and I call them "kids" because they have the maturity and intelligence of 15 year olds, regardless if they are legal or not, are worthless and useless. Can we see more of the talented, classy and mature acting crowd, or at least, open spaces for new talent with dignity and a sense of gratefulness and responsibility move to the front of the line?

48. I am curious why, when you acknowledged receipt of my post yesterday,.it has not appeared. I didn't use any bad words! I DID< howeve4r, critizine TMZ and mentioned Harvey Levin by name, stating my opinion that a journalist I once respected (remember the good old KNBC day, Harv?) had now become a flack for burned out druggies like Mischa, promoting and spreading the complete BS that she had a "problem with antibiotics and alcohol." Ha, Ha - good one! Harvey, as I said yesterday (and which you apparently BLOCKED), I have a friend who was at the party and confirms, generally, what Perez Hilton said, although my friend's impression was that the blow was responsible for her problems more than the mushrooms (which were also taken, I am told, by others at the party, which ws attended by Nicole Richard, Masha, Paris and I thought I heard even Lindsay dropped by.

Please try not to chicken out, and God forbid, stop being a beard for these people!

Everyone talking crap about her on this is LAME.
You know you wouldn't say half of it to her face, you'd be running around looking for a pen and camerma.
