Ashton Packs (Heat) for Camping Trip

Toothbrush -- check. Bottled water -- check. Gun?? -- check.

Ashton Kutcher brought all the essentials with him, gun included, for an all-guy camping trip this weekend in the wilds of ... Malibu. With no girls allowed, Ashton and the boys got in some quality time with each other over a hearty bowl of ... cereal.

Now you know for sure, Ashton's packing.

31. Can you not see the paint ball splat on his shirt? I bet that is a paint ball gun. Whose calling who names...Ashton is one of the sexiest men in young Hollywood!

9. What an example for young people....why does he need a gun? Are we such a
paranoid society, that people need to falsely protect themselves? Is for the
papparazzi?"
--

How does one "falsely protect" one self?

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your house? Do you have insurance?
WHY? Are you "falsely protecting" yourself from fire?

Good for Ashton. Responsible adults protect themselves, their families and their community.
Myrmidons like Soleil can't think for themselves. They therefor fall for the bogus "stats" and lies of the like of HCI and other groups that do not want you to be self sufficient (like the big government loving democrats) and bury their heads in the sand because they have no reason whatsoever to "falsely protect" (LOL) themselves.
In short, Soleil, he "needs a gun" to not be cannon fodder like yourself.

35. Not a good pic of Ashton. The way the sun is hitting him, he almost looks like he's going bald. LOL Ashton, you're way too young to be losing it.

Hope he's not planning on doing some stupid prank with his little gun. ::chuckle::, but then again, maybe there'll be some deer around on his trip with a very sarcastic sense of humor -- am picturing a "FarSide" skit.

40. Wow. All of you who think that's "not a real gun" are absolutely retarded. It is, as previously mentioned, a Springfield XD. The holster? That happens to be an "XD Gear" holster, that COMES WITH THE GUN when you buy it. Notice the accessory rail on the front of the holster to attach a light or laser?

As far as legality is concerned, Mr. Kutcher is more than likely well within the law. California law allows one to have a legally owned, loaded firearm at their place of residence, to include a temporary residence or campsite.

Now lastly, I feel I must address all the shallow anti-gun comments that have been posted thus far. I believe Pa. Patriot (post #34) put it very well. To add to that, the right to keep and bear arms is a God given one, and it is further protected by the Constitution of the United States. Unfortunately we live in a time where it is difficult for some to decide what that truely means.

There are laws currently enforced that are considered by most to be unconstitutional. To blatantly break these laws would be undermining the rest of the governmental structure, and would therefore be, even if for a good cause, completely hypocritical. So we follow the laws as best we can, and exercise our rights WHENEVER possible. Mr. Kutcher may be in danger; he may not. He is simply exercising his right to bear arms, and protect himself from the things that he cannot predict. After all, it is better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

42. Ashton is a good guy, as well as smart to bring a gun camping.
My friends at Camp Pendleton have warned me that when I visit them, to be very careful running or biking alone. There have been numerous attacks on Marines by wild animals in the SoCal area, even in Malibu. So there!

43. If that was someone that was not a star carrying a gun in "the wilds" of Malibu, they would have had their camping trip cut short by a pair of uncomfortable bracelets applied by the police.

When are the citizens of CA gonna pull their heads out of their star struck asses long enough to gain the same rights as Hollywood stars?
